TWO GAMES THAT TELL IT ALL

Play golf or poker with someone and you'll get to see the real person. In both games, you're on your own; you have no one to blame for your setbacks or losses--just you. In a way, life is similar to golf and poker.

In golf, this is especially true because you police yourself. Character is defined as doing the right thing when no one's looking; golf will bring one's true character out every time, and sometimes when everyone's looking.

Not long ago, Tiger Woods played a round of golf with someone who showed his true character on the course. Why Tiger chose to tell this story is beyond me, but I'm glad he did because it allows us to see, again, what kind of person this is. And if that's not enough, the round of golf was played during a children's golf clinic.

Character.

BRAINSTER ON THE RADIO--**UPDATED**

Andrea Shea-King and Mark Vance will be interviewing Brainster (Pat Curley) about John Kerry's "Christmas in Cambodia" fairy tale. Kerry wants to talk about it again, so Brainster's gonna oblige him.

Listen to the show live via the web on WWBC 1510 AM from 3- 5 PM EST. Join the the in-show chatroom here.

--------------------

***INTERVIEW DEBRIEFING: Today's interview with Brainster scored a "10" on the meter.

Andrea and Mark asked great questions, and Brainster's responses indicated a complete mastery of the subject matter. If you weren't well versed about Kerry's VN experience, you were after this interview.

Brainster comes across very well on the radio. He has a good command of the facts and presents them seemlessly. To top it off, he has a great radio voice.

BTW, Kitty Litter received mentions before, during, and after the interview. Andrea and Mark simply love her blog name, as well the content.

If Kerry decides to make another attempt at the White House in '08, he'd better look out for Brainster and Kitty Litter.

From the NYT--

"Green grass, blue sky, white headstones — and the Patriot Guard, in line, in leather, holding up their flags. A color guard. A salute from Marine Corps rifles. Taps.

"Who are you masked men?" asked an old-timer in the red garrison cap of the Marine Corps League.

"Patriot Guard Riders," Mr. Deale explained.

"Well, it's impressive," the old-timer said. "Very impressive."

Then the dead man's mother walked the line of riders and, with her son's flag tucked beneath her arm, shook each and every hand."

Remember.

Patriot Guard gets an assist from President Bush.

WIN A FREE COPY

Here's a cookbook all of you should own. At only $10, who among us can't afford it? Besides, all the money raised goes to charities that help our wounded Marines and the families of Marines KIA. Weber, the makers of the finest grills in America, made this book possible:

"In 2005, active duty and reserve Marines at 10 military installations around the country took up their tongs in the ultimate battle of the barbecue. They marinated, seared, and sauced in an all-out battle for top grilling honors. This book showcases the winning recipes from the competition, along with steak recipes from famous former Marines like Lee Trevino and Ed McMahon."

"Command of the Grill" was the idea of two Weber employees, and with the help of their company, the book became a reality. Weber is a company you should support. Read the story about how Susan and John got the idea for the book.

All proceeds go to these 4 charities. See a video clip (link to the right) of some military grillin' action! Take note of these companies that offer the book for sale.

Along with Weber, these companies donated their time and services to this book--support them with your dollars. You will notice that The Hilton Corporation is not on the list of companies assisting our military. But, Marriott is, so when you're looking for a hotel, choose Marriott if you can.

***Want a free copy of "Command of the Grill?' Sure you do. Do a post about this book, link my post, and leave a comment with your blog link and I'll pick the best one. I'll notify the winner and after I get your mailing info, Thirdwavedave will send you your free copy of "Command of the Grill." Now get to posting!! (If the posts are good enough, I could get generous and give out several books. Contest will end next Tuesday.)

MT. SOLEDAD UPDATE PLUS FRAN'S

The Bush White House staff has been busy reading emails, because, it's reported, 247,000 of them have been sent to the president urging him to use his power to save the cross at Mt. Soledad. STOP THE ACLU has the latest update about the effort. And, there's no reason to stop emailing the president, either. Do it here. (non-English speakers here)--Update May 25: The American Legion steps in. H-T to Marcus on the spacecoast.

***UPDATE on Fran O'Brien's!!! Just received an email from Hal and Marty. They say it will take about 6 months to open at a new location. BUT, in the meantime, the Italians, not the Hilton Corporation, are taking care of our wounded heros on Friday nights. Don't ya just love the Italians? Bless them all. Story from The Stars and Strips. If you'd like to say, "thanks," do it here. (1-202-612-4444--they didn't speak very good English, but they appreciated my call very much...even took my name)

"The Italian Ambassador, Gianni Castellaneta, and his wife, Lila, heard about Fran O’Brien’s dinners through an Italian sponsor and offered to have the wounded servicemembers over to the embassy at some point as well, according to Shoshana Bryen, a member of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, another sponsor." Hilton makes me sick.

***It looks like the ACLU is pulling a Polipundit.

***Good news regarding jobs!! It looks like at least 100 U.S. jobs will be saved, maybe 535 when it's over. In a related article, Ed Meese, who worked for the Great One, is calling a spade a spade. You can still contact Mr. Sensenbrenner--in English--here! From the Washington Times:

"The bill would grant citizenship rights to an estimated 10 million illegal aliens currently in the country and allow them to collect Social Security benefits for work they performed while illegally employed in the U.S. The bill also grants complete amnesty to employers who have drawn the estimated 12 million aliens to the U.S. by illegally providing them with jobs." Who are these people representing?

***I can't wait until a camera crew catches up to this guy. Vent.

***On this day in history.

TALKING WITH OUR POCKETBOOKS

After it's all said and done, the music business will put the Dixie Chicks at the top of the list for marketing blunders. They are certainly entitled to their opinions, but so is the buying public. So far, the buying public's winning.

The Chicks are fighting back, though, with a new album, featuring a song, "Not Ready To Make Nice," a new concert tour, a 60 Minutes interview, where they attempt to explain themselves, and even moving away from their country roots to a blend of rock and roll. Not working, no sale.

In another marketing blunder, The Hilton Corporation will be feeling the rath of a large segment of the American buying public: OPERATION PERISH HILTON.

Hilton won't be feeling the economic impact as fast as the Dixie Chicks did; it will take more time, but they'll feel it just the same. And I'm sure they'll never forget Fran O'Brien's, because millions will make a point to remind them each and every time they choose a hotel.

Blackfive explains OPERATION PERISH HILTON.

Most of us are just individuals in the market place, but our future spending decisions, collectively, do add up. However, Blackfive is in a decision-making position and he intends to use it against Hilton. Whether you're in a similar position or just an individual, follow his lead.

When choosing a hotel, make sure you exclude these establishments. After choosing another hotel chain, it would be nice to send a message to these idiots and let them know why. Give back, make a difference.

MOSQUE AND STATE--TOGETHER

Out of all the news stories and blog posts over the weekend, this one picture caught my attention more than any of them. John Rubbery of Marathon Pundit saw this picture posted on a bulletin board at a local school function. His daughter will more than likely be attending the same school in the future.

The little, malleable minds of our future seem to be in a re-education camp of sorts while mom and dad are at work. This may not seem important, but it is and it's happening all over the nation. Make a call to your local school and just see. And, attempt to put a stop to it and the ACLU and CAIR will arrive in short order. John didn't get a picture of the Bible Study class announcment, because there wasn't one. Read John's post here. Malkin has another.

***Diana Irey says it's time for Murtha to leave Washington. I agree. However, I think he should leave in cuffs, but an election loss will be acceptable. Irey is running against Murtha--I wish her well.

***Vice-President Cheney will be in town today to give a speech. I heard about it on the radio, so I checked the morning edition of The Sacramento Bee--nothing. Someone should give them a call and let them know. Note: Looks like someone notified The Bee, because the story finally appeared in their afternoon edition.

***Ya think?

HONOR THEM

Since tomorrow is Armed Forces Day, I hope all of you make a special effort to honor everyone serving this great nation, and all who have served in the past. While remembering those who served in the past, some of whom died in service to our nation, feel free to exclude such men as Jack Murtha and John Kerry. Though they served, they have dishonored themselves, endangered our men and women in the line of fire, and assisted our enemies--they are traitors to the United States Of America.

**Over at A Rose By Any Other Name, Anna is honoring the best this nation has to offer.

**The shuttle is on the move down Florida way.

**The LA Times forgot a few details about that $34 an hour job. I guess they thought you didn't need to know. No bias here, though. Malkin has the details.

**If you don't think we're re-living 1938 all over again, then read this. Don't forget this, either.

Streaming live via the web on WWBC 1510 AM at 3PM EST M-F. If you're looking for a pro-troop, pro-America show, it doesn't get any better than this. Mark and Andrea will take your calls at 1-800-648-1437.

NOTE: The radio link is down, but Andrea emailed and said the techies are working the problem and it should be working by showtime. (It's fixed now)

ONE NATION, ONE LANGUAGE?

It's good to see that Washington is finally facing up to the problems of illegal immigration. On Monday, during his speech to the nation, President Bush pointed out several items regarding the responsibilities of immigrants.

On assimilation, Bush spoke of the need to learn the English language: Via Michelle Malkin

“. . . we must honor the great American tradition of the melting pot, which has made us one Nation out of many peoples. The success of our country depends upon helping newcomers assimilate into our society, and embrace our common identity as Americans. Americans are bound together by our shared ideals, an appreciation of our history, respect for the flag we fly, and an ability to speak and write the English language.”

I am pleased to see President Bush leading the way on this issue.

THE SECOND COMING?

I don't think this illegal immigration issue will be going away anytime soon. Unless, of course, there's another 9-11 event. I think this pup will remain on the front burner about to boil over. Possibly, we're living the second coming of The Alamo. Could be.

Congress has a record of taking something that is working just fine and screwing it up so bad that it will never be fixed. Social Security comes to mind. Then they like to play a little game of shells, mis-direction, if you will, with the voting public, and before you know it congress is out of the loop with regards to blame. Again, Social Security comes to mind. Having said that, I have a feeling, a bad one, that this problem of illegal immigration, its future consequences on this nation, is much worse than we're being told. Just a feeling.

Scanning the web this morning, I found a few articles of interest:

A company in Texas wants to hire from across the border and then house them on site. Unions not too happy.

In Mexico, voters fear for nation as election nears.

Jack Kelly shares his thoughts on the upcoming Mexican elections and how they could affect the U.S.--we should be paying attention to this election.

Ace of Spades follows Polipundit--sort of.

That is all.

THE AFTERMATH

I watched the speech on the Fox News channel, so I missed CNN's so-called mistake that made Bush look unpresidential during this prime time speech to the nation. Just a mistake, I'm sure.

So, I sat down to view Bush's speech with a bottle of scotch, a glass, and some ice. About halfway through the speech, I dispensed with the glass and began drinking straight from the bottle. The content of the speech was hard to swallow; the scotch wasn't.

Most of us knew ahead of time how this speech was going to unfold, hence the scotch, and, I suppose, this would be a good time to pile on Bush and begin the beating. But, he's my president, we're at war, and I know in my heart of hearts that he didn't give the speech he wanted to give; he gave the one that political realities in Washington D.C. dictated he give. He's my president and I still support him. We, the people, have much more work to do.

Bush's speech has the blogs humming:

Powerline

Michelle Malkin and Hot Air

Common Sense America

Of note: Kitty at Kitty Litter posted about the meltdown at Polipundit, where they had to halt some blogging privileges, temporarily, because of infighting over the immigration issue. As a result, it appears that Lori Byrd will be leaving the blog. This is surprising and it highlights just how divisive this issue has become within conservative circles. Pat at Brainster has more.

Kitty is requesting your ideas on solutions to the immigration problem. Have at it.

Here's the post from the owner of Polipundit explaining what happened. And here's what could be Lori's final post with her explanation.

Instead of attacking Bush at this time, maybe we should give him an assist, instead. We, the people, have much more work to do.

------------------CPR FOR THE HEART OF AMERICA-MAY 16TH

Andrea Shea-King and Mark Vance have invited me to come on the radio with them and give my views on Bush's speech. Because I have some place to be around that time, I may not make it, but I'll try my best.

Today's show, Constitutional Public Radio, will no doubt be heated. Tune them in from 3-5 PM EST on WWBC 1510 AM, streaming live on the web. Andrea and Mark will take your calls on-air at 1-800-648-1437

PREPARING FOR THE SPEECH

I'm preparing myself early for Bush's speech on the illegal immigration problem. I don't expect to be too happy after he's done giving it.

Bush's proposal to temporarily send troops to the border is a politician's way of reassuring the base that something is being done about illegal immigration. NOTE--the word "temporarily" is being used to assuage the current Director of U.S. Immigration, Vicente Fox.

Your leaders in Washington, I think, are about to sell you a bill of goods that will do nothing but further the disintegration of our nation, and I use the term, "leaders," loosely. The real leaders of this once great nation are long since dead.

At this time, about all you can do is email Bush, your representative in the house, and your senator. Not that it will do any good, but it can't hurt, either. Enjoy the speech....

Email President Bush or call the White House at 1-202-456-1111

Email your House Rep

Email your Senator (this link has been going down periodically, keep trying)

Some words to consider:

"Moderation in the protection of liberty is no virtue; extremism in the defense of freedom is no vice."--AUH2O

CNN AIRS STORY ON FRAN O'BRIEN'S

CNN, not Fox News, did a story on the history and closing of Fran O'Brien's. The story, which was shot in and around the restaurant, included interviews of our wounded, the co-owner, and Jim Mayer.

Mayer, a Viet Nam vet and double amputee, first got the idea of the free dinners while volunteering at Walter Reed Medical Center, and owners, Hal and Marty, took it from there. In the interviews, everyone expresses what Fran's has meant to them, their families, the military, and how this tradition helped in the recuperative process these wounded heros must endure.

After viewing this piece, I'm sure you will gladly repay The Hilton Corporation by supporting any and all of their competitors.

View the CNN story here. Hat tip--Castle Argghhh!!!

MEMORY LANE VIA BLOGMEISTER USA

Pam at Blogmeister USA has posted an old speech by former governor Richard Lamm. The speech is funny even though its theme is, "A Plan to Destroy America."

Many of you have read the speech before but it's still worth another read, especially with immigration being the hot topic that it is.

Since Pam posted something we've all seen before, I thought I'd post something along the same lines. Something so funny and relevant that it's worth seeing again and again.

Bob Hope, probably the greatest supporter of America's fighting men and women, had the pleasure of delivering the funniest movie line in the history of movies. Here's the line--(volume up)

***************CPR FOR THE HEART OF AMERICA--MAY 12th

I don't see any guest scheduled for Constitutional Public Radio today, so I encourage you to tune in because I'm sure if Mark Vance gets as excited and passionate as he has recently, he might have a stroke on air. I hope this isn't the case--we need men like him to pave the way for future generations.

Tune in today and hear Mark and Andrea discuss the issues of the day. Usually, when there's no scheduled guest, they tear it up pretty good, and they get your blood pressure up. To relieve that pressure, they will take your calls at 1-800-648-1437. If you get chest pains, not to worry, Andrea knows CPR for the Heart of America. You're in good hands.

NOW BOARDING AT GATE 17

I had plans to see "United 93" last week but put it off. Blame the NBA or MLB. Each review that I've read describes the movie in the same way: Sobering.

Not only are there reviews of "United 93" posted all over the web, but the nutjobs have come out, as they almost always do, to sell you on the idea of how 9-11 was concocted by the Bush Administration so he could go to war, thus snatching up all the oil in sight for his buds. I think that's how it goes, anyway.

Enter Pat Curley of Brainster. Pat has put together a website, Screw Loose Change, dedicated to debunking all the lunatic conspiracy theories revolving around the events of 9-11. He was inspired by the movie, "Loose Change." (video) Though these "theories" are absolute BS and hardly stand up against any sound reasoning or logic, they have gotten lots of media time (Charlie Sheen), so Pat's putting them to the test.

Pat is well known on the net for his Brainster Blog, but he has credentials that go way beyond that: He formed Kerry Haters and along with Kitty Myers of Kitty Litter, broke the "Christmas in Cambodia" story. Paul Krugman hates Pat, I'm sure, and for good reason. Pat has forced Krugman, and the NYT, to post corrections to two of his columns--Pat caught him playing fast and loose with the facts. He's a good friend to this blog and I have the utmost respect for his work. Check out his blog, Brainster, as well as his new one, Screw Loose Change.

---------------------------------------CPR MAY 11

Andrea and Mark will be interviewing Wayne LaPierre on today's show. Here's a guy we haven't heard much about lately. Somehow, the NRA has escaped the left's numerous attacks of late. But I figure it's only a matter of time before they come for our guns, again.

It should be a good interview. I think I'll field strip my Winchester Model 1300 while listening to LaPierre's interview. Speaking of the NRA, I wonder how Mr. Heston's doing? Maybe someone will ask. Maybe.

Tune in from 3-5PM EST by clicking here.

**There's nothing I hate more than a thief, especially when he's stealing my stuff. However, I'm pretty sure I'd have to give this guy a pass--he earned another chance. H-T to The Noonz Wire.

UNDER ATTACK BUT FIGHTING BACK

The cross at Mt. Soledad stands waiting for the dismantlers to take her down. But, she doesn't stand alone, not by a long shot.

According to Andrea Shea-King and Mark Vance, the cross has some new supporters from the legal world; supporters who are willing to fight this battle in the courts.

Andrea and Mark announced the good news on their show today, Constitutional Public Radio, and linked it on their site. A snippet:

"(Washington, DC) – The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), specializing in constitutional law, said today it will enter the legal battle to save the cross atop Mount Soledad in San Diego in place despite a federal court ordering its removal within 90 days. A federal court has given the city three months to remove the cross or face stiff fines. The ACLJ has offered San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders legal assistance in the case and says it will – at the very least – file friend-of-the-court briefs in support of the cross if the city’s appeal moves forward."

This is very good news. Read the rest here.

THE LIGHTS HAVE GONE OUT

When news first broke that the Hilton Corporation was evicting Fran O'Brien's Steak House from one of their hotels, the blog world shifted into high gear in an attempt to thwart Hilton's decision.
Hilton gave Fran's until May 1st to vacate the premises, which turned out to be a couple weeks' notice. Well, May 1st has come and gone, so has Fran O'Brien's. Hal and Marty packed all their equipment and moved out of the Hilton Hotel located in Washington D.C.

Our wounded men and women, recuperating at Walter Reed and Bethesda, will no longer be able to enjoy a night out with their family and friends courtesy of Hal and Marty. They began the tradition of free Friday night steak dinners to our wounded servicemenbers two-and-a-half years ago.

I sincerely hope you thank Hilton by spending your dollars at another establishment. I will sleep in my car before I spend another dollar at one of their hotels.

Before the May 1st eviction date, The American Legion stepped in and offered to pay 50% of the upgrade costs for ADA compliance, but Hilton ignored it and evicted Fran's anyway. It appears that Hilton used its power and influence to keep the media at bay, too. Hannity and Colmes were planning to cover the story but it was cancelled at the last minute. Hannity would never have dropped this story unless Fox management put a stop to it; he's too much of a patriot.

The only media coverage (tv and radio) was in the Washington D.C. area and a live radio interview with Marty O'Brien on Constitutional Public Radio out of Florida. National coverage was non-existent, otherwise the outcome would've been different.

Just so you'll know, this is the cornerstone of Hilton's business philosophy. And, don't forget these SOBs, either.

Andi's World has all the details in a post entitled, "What would Conrad do?"

Fran's--the last night:

Not all was gloomy that night. Pfc. Marissa Strock, who lost both legs after a Thanksgiving Day explosion under her Humvee in Iraq, offered an act of both gratitude and triumph.

Struggling to stand on her prosthetic limbs, Strock, 20, walked unassisted into the arms of Jim Mayer, a Vietnam War double amputee whom Koster credits with coming up with the idea of the dinners.

Then, dinner done, Strock walked alone up the 20 steps to the street.

"It was the biggest gift she could give," Mayer said. "Priceless."

*************CPR for May 9th

Mark Vance and Andrea Shea-King will be interviewing Townhall.com's chairman, Doug Wilson. The show begins at 3PM EST on Constitutional Public Radio, WWBC 1510 AM via the web. Don't miss it.

BAHJAT VIDEO HOAX?

Mudville Gazette has posted an update about the execution of Atwar Bahjat.

Apparently there is some conflicting information regarding the video's authenticity:

"An update to the story of the murder of Atwar Bahjat. Questions have been raised concerning the identity of the victim in the video. According to this wikipedia entry photos of Atwar Bahjat's body prove she was not decapitated. The photos linked from the entry, while gruesome, are not conclusive."

Take a look at the whole post. Interesting.

DISMANTLING OUR NATION--ONE CROSS AT A TIME

As usual, I tuned to The Andrea Shea-King Show last night. Her shows are all good, in fact, her worst show is good. But last night the woman was on FIRE! At one point she almost went "Michael Savage" on us, but never quite got to the point of being rude to her callers.

In a moment of brutal honesty, Andrea unleashed on her listening audience for not being involved. I was surprised, however, it was about time someone said it. I'm sure she'll continue the rant today.

When Andrea began talking about the cross at Mt. Soledad, the gloves came off. She was clearly upset and confused at the attack on a war memorial dedicated to the fighting men and women of this country.

For those of you who aren't aware, Mt. Soledad is a war memorial in the San Diego area. The battle over the cross has been going on for almost 2 decades; recently, the courts ruled that the cross must be removed:

"Last week, U.S. District Judge Gordon Thompson ordered the city to remove the reinforced concrete cross from city property within 90 days or be fined each day that it remains."

"In 1991, Thompson ruled that the cross's presence in a city park violated the California Constitution's prohibition against government endorsement of religion."

This entire battle over the cross was started by one atheist, Philip Paulson. The city government has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in an attempt to save the cross. There is some good news: the city's in this fight to the end.

If enough people got involved with this issue it wouldn't even be a fight, but far too many are "fat and happy" with their situations to worry over the removal of a cross dedicated to the very people who made their "good life" possible. (thanks, Andrea)

Read about the court decision here; read about the Mt. Soledad memorial here.

One has to wonder how something like this could happen in our country--how did we get to this point and where will it end?

I have an idea that Andrea and Mark will be touching on this subject today. Tune to their show--Constitutional Public Radio--3 pm est via the web. WWBC 1510 am.

FEDS STUCK ON LODI MAN

The feds announced that they will be going back into court to retry Umer Hayat (right) on charges that he lied to the FBI regarding his son's involvement in a terrorist training camp. From KCRA:

"The first trial of Umer Hayat, a 48-year-old ice cream vendor, ended last month in a mistrial after the jury said it was deadlocked. His son, Hamid Hayat, was convicted the same day of supporting terrorism by attending an al-Qaida training camp in Pakistan and lying to the FBI."

This is good news. More from KCRA and The Bee.

Patrick Kennedy just finished his news conference, and I must admit it was a beautiful piece of work. It was predictable, a masterpiece, and it made me sick.

Let me give you an idea how this will progress, because this story isn't done unfolding. There will be more, and soon.

Now, I think it's obvious that Kennedy was out supporting the bottom line of the Seagrams Corporation, got in his car to go home and had an incident. Otherwise known as a DUI.

Right now, word is being mentioned on the cable outlets that a "bar tab" has been located. And where there's a bar tab, there's a bartender who will connect Kennedy to alcohol consumption that evening.

Understand this: The Kennedy family has a fully staffed, 24 hour "damage control machine" in operation. They always have and it's in full swing as I type this.

The owner of the bar will be contacted, then the bartender, as well as the friends in attendance with Patrick. The bartender, when questioned, will say something like this: "Yes, Mr. Kennedy was in here last night. He bought many drinks for his friends and when I asked if he'd like one, he told me he couldn't because of medication he was taking."

All of his friends will have similar recollections: "We all tried to buy him a drink, but he continually declined because of his meds. He's such a generous person."

Why would they all say this? Because they like their jobs, that's why. The owner of the bar would like to keep his business, trust me. Anyone else in the bar who saw Kennedy drinking will suddenly become blind because, they, too, enjoy working and supporting their families.

The Kennedy Family Damage Control Machine (KFDCM) has that kind of juice, and by "juice" I don't mean the type you mix with your vodka.

Again, watch and learn. Malkin has more at HotAir. Kitty, too.

FIRING FOR EFFECT

Who is this man? Well, he blogs here. And he'll be needing body guards soon, because of this little number.

Good work, Chris!!

GOSS OUT AS CIA HEAD

I didn't see this one coming. Maybe this is part of the Oval Office shake-up that we keep hearing about.

My first thought: Rumsfeld could be next.

Watch and learn.

A FAMILY TRADITION

The drunk doesn't fall far from the barstool.

"Whisky Ted's" son, Patrick, is following in the family tradition of how to booze your way through Washington DC and retain your job. It must be a proud day for the whole Kennedy clan, for one of their sons has done it again.

To write anything else about this would be a waste of my time.

Cheers!!

A VERY IMPORTANT RADIO SHOW--**UPDATED**

Today's show could be the most important one Andrea and Mark do all year. Here's why:

Their guest is Jeff Epstein of America's Truth Forum, and the organizer of America's Truth Symposium, which was held last weekend. Many well known experts in the field of terrorism were on hand and they discussed a wide range of topics. Here's a list of the attendees and the topics.

The odd thing here is, the MSM and our government have not covered this story, and this lack of coverage leaves many wondering why.

This symposium was not a "politically correct" meeting of the minds--they pledged to tell it like it is.

Epstein will be telling Andrea and Mark all about the event and what their conclusions were regarding the current terrorist threat. I'm certain what Epstein has to say will not only be shocking, but sobering.

Tune in to WWBC 1510 AM at 3-5 PM EST--CONSTITUTIONAL PUBLIC RADIO.

UPDATE:

Michelle Malkin just posted about this WND story (Danish Cartoonists). Jeff Epstein contacted Andrea and Mark about it and he will be discussing it on the show today, in addition to the terrorism symposium. Tune in!!

WHEN CRIME COMES KNOCKING

If you've never been robbed before, this is what it looks like when a gun is stuck in your face by a would-be robber. Attention getting, to say the least.

As my long-time readers remember, last July I was the victim of an attempted home invasion, and I posted about it not long after it happened.

The would-be robber was caught a week later after another attempted robbery. I was taken to where he was under detention and identified him. The perp was released on bail before his entire record was made available to the authorities; he had a warrant for his arrest.

The PD and DA contacted me and apologized, etc., and assured me he would be caught again as these types find their way back into the system, eventually. Well, he found his way back. The DA contacted me the other day and advised me to be in court this Thursday to testify against the little bastard.

However, he will probably be getting off on the charges. Why? According to the DA, when the police took me to identify him, they didn't do a line-up with other individuals; he was the only one present. Mistake. His lawyer knows this and had him plead "not guilty."

***THE DETAILS***

Back when this happened, I said I'd give you the details of the incident, but never did. Briefly, this is what happened:

When the gun was pulled on me, I grabbed it and we struggled. During the struggle, the perp dropped his holster, then decided the situation wasn't going the way he had planned, so he fled. I was lucky.

Publicly, the police advise you to cooperate with the robber, remain calm, etc. However, this is bullshit and will more than likely get you injured or killed. All robberies of this type are situational; sometimes it is best to cooperate. This was not the case with my situation--to allow him to take control inside my home was a death sentence, in my mind.

The police know this all too well and, privately, will tell you so. I have always known this and that's why my immediate reaction was to grab the gun, not to cooperate, and struggle with him. Again, I was lucky.

The lesson in all this: Be prepared, have a plan. Think through all the "what ifs" in your daily movements. Always be aware of your surroundings.

I'll let you know how it turns out.
