SARAH HEATH, BARRY SOETERO: TWO DIFFERENT JOURNEYS

In his column at American Thinker, Jack Cashill chronicles the lives of Obama and Palin. In it, he starts at the beginning of their lives and describes how both got to where they are today. And, with the help of the fringe media, we know just about everything about Palin. Obama, not so much:

In the spring of 1964, Sarah Heath, then just three months old, flew into backwater Skagway, Alaska (population 650) aboard a 1930s-era Grunman Goose to start a new life with her parents, brother, and sister.

At that same time, in America's other new outlier state, Hawaii, two-year-old Barry Obama was just getting used to a fatherless existence in the otherwise-comfortable world his white grandparents and occasionally his mother would make for him. --continue reading.

4 MORE GIs KILLED AS OBAMA CONTINUES TO DITHER ON TROOP POLICY--updated

Months ago, Obama settled on an Afghan strategy. But when his top General requested an additional 40k troops, Obama seemed to forget about his previous decision and went completely blank. He has not made a decision on troop increases nor has he settled on what his "new" strategy will be. In fact, Obama has had 10 meetings with his advisers and still no decision has been reached:

Meeting in the Situation Room
Obama held the 10th meeting of his Afghanistan strategy review since mid-September on Monday night, with a large cast of foreign policy and military advisers, to go over that revised information from war planners. The two-hour Situation Room session was aimed at discussing "some of the questions that the president had, some additional answers to what he'd asked for," Gibbs said.

Not only has Obama's top General requested more troops, NATO has asked that all allied nations send additional troops as well. It's clear that more troops are needed, however, Obama is having some difficulty seeing the need.

Is Obama unable to make the tough decisions a war requires of a CIC, or is he and his closest advisers playing politics? Either way, more and more American GIs are dying as a result of these delays.

During a 24 hour period on Sunday, four more American GIs were killed. Some Afghan soldiers died too. This is nothing short of criminal. Your members of congress are having trouble dealing with this problem because they are too busy talking about an issue near-and-dear to their hearts: health care.

Well, I know of at least four GIs that no longer have a need for health care.

***UPDATE: Marathon Pundit reports on Obama's decision.

DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH FOX NEWS?

Burt's Eye View at Big Hollywood has some interesting things to say about FNC. Burt explains some of the problems he has with Fox. I have the same complaints and I know others who do as well.

MONDAY'S QUICK HITS

Catching my eye this morning and over the weekend:

*Nothing at all to see here. It was a "Chicago suicide," I'm sure--Malkin has much more with updates.

**Possible VP candidate? I say it's too early but he comes from good stock.

***Jimmy Carter defends his handling of the Iranian hostage crisis...again.

****Look Under the Hood for the latest on Jodie Evans and Code Pink. Update: WSJ picks up the story.

*****Today, Roger Ebert is a frightened individual. Why? My theory: When the Princess Theater was renamed the Cinema, Ebert never got over it. Main St. Urbana was never the same, either. Even the food at Curry's Cafe didn't taste the same. The '60s was a turbulent decade.

CODE PINK USING FT. HOOD TERROR ATTACK TO RAISE MONEY

One of Obama's allies and political ATMs, Code Pink, an organization co-founded by Jodie Evans, has been discovered using our dead and wounded soldiers at Ft. Hood as a backdrop to raise funds for their subversive, anti-military, anti-American organization.

Kristinn Taylor, Free Republic's Communications Director, and columnist/radio talk show host Andrea Shea King are reporting yet another disgusting Code Pink story. So far, I have yet to hear the Obama administration denounce any of Code Pink's efforts, so I'll assume they don't have a problem with the actions of this subversive group. Of course, this could change in the future.

BIG GOVERNMENT is covering the latest Code Pink revelation. Taylor and King's previous Code Pink/Jodie Evans/Obama reports can be found here. If you're not familiar with these reports, you should be.

***NOTE: I encourage all of you to stop by Free Republic to donate something to help defer the costs of running this most valuable information gathering site. VETERANS DAY 2009--THANK YOU

The history of Veterans Day indicates that the day has gone through more than one change over the years. At one time there was even confusion over when it was to be observed. However, our willingness and desire to thank all who have served our great nation has never changed. And it never will. Without our veterans, life today would be quite different. To all who have served, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.

This year I'd like to shine the light on one particular veteran.
This vet goes by the name of Lockness. Truly a rare breed, a pioneer for sure. Come February, Lockness will turn 100. What do you get for a 100-year-old vet, anyway? Well, Lockness has a very simple, practical gift in mind, and in February I'm sure it will be enjoyed to the fullest. Thank you for your service, Lockness.

TONIGHT--"THE DC RUN"--THE ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW

Andrea Shea King, Kristinn Taylor, John and Steve Vail arrived back to Florida's Space Coast this morning. It took about 37 hours of non-stop driving, walking around the capitol, meeting other protesters, and talking with legislators. These four, along with the other thousands making the last minute trip to Washington, represented the millions who couldn't be there. And they represented us very well. America is very proud of each and every one of them.

Later today, Andrea will be posting all about the trip. She has a slew of wonderful pics as well. Check her site--The Radio Patriot. Keep checking back for her updates and pics.

Tonight at 9 PM EST--THE ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW will be covering the trip to Washington. She's exhausted but soldiering on.

***Thanks goes out to John Vail for providing the vehicle and doing the bulk of the driving. On the first leg of the trip, Florida to DC, John drove the entire way, only stopping for fuel, etc.

LONG DAY IN WASHINGTON COMES TO AN END

7:00 PM EST

Andrea Shea King, Kristinn Taylor, John Vail and son, Steve, are heading to the car to make the return 13 hr trip back to Florida's Space Coast. It was quite the day, historic.

Andrea has lots to report after she returns home, many pics to share as well. She was finally able to meet up with Lori Byrd, which was most enjoyable.

Crowd size, for whatever reason, was not something reported today. It could be I missed it but others were mentioning it too. Between Kristinn Taylor and another person (don't know their name), estimates range from 15,000 to 25,000.

That's all for now...check back later this evening.

ENTERING PELOSI'S OFFICE, BACHMANN'S TOO

Cannon office building--2:45 PM EST

Andrea Shea King making her way to the offices of Pelosi, Bachmann:

First, Americans went into Pelosi's office and torn the health care bill to shreds, threw it on the floor. Pelosi not there or hiding under her desk. Police are everywhere, securing her office, closing it off from the dangerous, misguided Americans.

At this time, Andrea just entered Bachmann's office, introduced herself to her assistant, and now waiting to meet with the congresswoman.

RALLY AT STEPS OF CAPITOL ENDS; AMERICANS HEADED INSIDE BUILDING TO CONFRONT REPS

2:00 pm est:

The rally outside the Capitol building has just ended, people are now making there way to meet some of the reps in the house. The message: Stop this insane health care takeover of our nation--NOW!!

Andrea is making her way to Bachmann's office for a few words, and along the way I'm sure she'll have a word or two for some dem she meets in the hall too.

She will be reporting back in soon as things develop on her end.

Soon I will have my thoughts on how Fox News handled this whole affair, and I'm not happy at all. The best speakers with the exception of Bachmann were the non members of congress. Levin rocked 'em. More on that too.

THE CAPITOL IS ALIVE! CROWD GROWING

11:30 AM EST

Andrea Shea King reports from the Capitol steps:

Crowd is huge. Her est is 3000 and growing by the minute. Crowd is spilling over from the steps to the grass area. Police seem to be just doing crowd control, securing building entrances. The usual. Report: 8 protesters arrested at Joe Lieberman's office. However, these protesters were urging Joe to vote FOR universal health care.

Lots of flags and signage. People are streaming in on foot from all directions...buses everywhere--Andrea is counting 18 from where she's standing.

News outlets are clearly present.

Andrea says organizers are starting with some music: "We won't be fooled again." I guess that would be the perfect song for this event.

We Won't Be Fooled Again

We'll be fighting in the streets with our children at our feet and the morals That they worship will be gone and the men who spurred us on sit in judgement Of all wrong they decide and the shotgun sings the song I'll tip my hat to the New constitution take a bow for the new revolution smile and grin at the change...

ARRIVING IN DC, KRISTINN TAYLOR ON LOCAL RADIO SHOW

10:55 AM EST:

Andrea reports that Kristinn Taylor was just on the air with WMAL 630 AM in DC. Lots of folks calling in from the road--Americans are coming to DC from all points.

They are just now arriving in DC, Capitol building area...Kristinn is giving John directions around the city and now they're checking the parking situation. As soon as they get situated, they'll call in with a more detailed report from "the crime scene."

|

REPORT FROM THE CAPITOL--UPDATE

Andrea just received a phone call from Mary Ann who's at the Capitol right now. She reports that people are already there--several thousand--and that media is in place. Mary Ann adds that 3 buses will be arriving from Orlando very soon. This is great news. Expecting huge turnout today.

UPDATE: Lori Byrd just called Andrea. Lori at Reagan International, wants to meet up with Andrea and crew.

FINAL PUSH INTO WASHINGTON--ANDREA SHEA KING REPORTS

Florida to Washington DC road trip report--9:20 AM EST:

Andrea reports from Carmel Falls, Va., about 100 miles outside DC. Much colder now and morning commute traffic is picking up. She got a few hours sleep since leaving Florida but John Vail has had zero sleep--he's driven the whole way.

As of now, they're topping off the fuel tank for the final push into DC. John has them a bit ahead of schedule, ETA around 11:00AM EST. Andrea will report in again when they get into the city, early crowd est, media on site, etc.

HEADED TO WASHINGTON DC, ANDREA SHEA KING REPORTS FROM THE ROAD--ALL SYSTEMS "GO"

WASHINGTON DC PATRIOT ROAD TRIP FILED AT 12:20 AM EST, NORTH OF BRUNSWICK, GA:

Andrea Shea King reports from northbound I-95 that the driving conditions and weather are perfect--a full moon hangs in the night sky.

In the vehicle: John Vail driving; Andrea riding shotgun, keeping the driver alert and dispensing sandwiches and corn chips. In the back seat is Free Republic's Communications Director, Kristinn Taylor. However, Kristinn isn't doing much in the way of "communicating" as he's sound asleep. Next to Kristinn is John Vail's 20 yr old son, Steve. This is Steve's first trip to Washington Dc, or as we like to call it, "the crime scene."

Andrea and Kristinn have spent a lot of time in DC, so young Steve will learn and see much during this historic event.

According to the driver, John Vail, ETA to Washington will be 10:00 AM EST Thursday morning.

I briefly spoke to John and asked if he had a comment for this update: His response: "Live free or die." Amen, brother.

More updates to come.

ANSWERING BACHMANN'S CALL: ANDREA SHEA KING, KRISTINN TAYLOR TRAVELING TO DC FOR THURSDAY'S CAPITOL RALLY--Updated

Writer, blogger and radio show host, Andrea Shea King has answered Rep. Michele Bachmann's call to come to Washington DC this Thursday to help stop health care legislation that will eventually enslave all of America. Malkin has the latest on health care.

During a Monday interview on Glenn Beck's radio show, Bachmann asked that all available Americans travel to Washington DC, meet her on the Capitol steps, and go inside to look the reps in the eye and tell them to stop this bill.

Andrea is not traveling alone, either. Free Republic's Communications Director, Kristinn Taylor, will be taking the 13 hour, one-way trip too. Two other Florida patriots will be joining them as well. Sorry, but I don't have their names right now.

The foursome will be departing from Florida's Space Coast this evening, hitting I-95 and cruising to DC to cover Bachmann's, and America's, six.

UPDATE: Michele Bachmann just phoned Andrea to set up a meeting in her office sometime Thursday. PLUS!!! Tea Party Express II bigs are answering Bachmann's call too. They'll be breaking off from the express for a short time to make a quick flight to the DC rally. Full report at The Radio Patriot.

America, we're at DEFCON 2--health care legislation must be stopped. Do whatever you can, phone, email, or hit the road for DC.

****Check back as I will be updating throughout Thursday. I might have a few reports from the road tonight as well.

Get Well soon, Glenn. Reports are that he's not feeling well.

NY23 BIG TOP COMING DOWN

The Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey big tent republicans are inviting YOU to the big show. The "big tenters" are asking that you leave your conservative principles at the gate, enter and have one hell of a great time under socialism's big top. Don't forget to bring the kids!

Now that Dede (NY23) has shown republicans that she's really a democrat, fewer folks will be inclined to fork over the price of admission to this circus extravaganza that is now defined as a big tent party. This morning, few establishment republicans have a good feeling--Newt, Mitt, Huck, to name a few. However, Palin, the blithering, drooling idiot from Alaska, probably feels just fine, thank you. Fred's probably enjoying the morning as well--Read the story.
