SECOND JAPANESE CITY SUFFERS ATOMIC BLAST

Since Japan failed to surrender after the first atomic bomb exploded over Hiroshima on August 6th, U.S. forces dropped a 2nd atomic device on the city of Nagasaki. Days later, Japan would surrender and World War II would come to a close.
