WAR IN THE PACIFIC COMES TO AN END

I've been following some of the historic events of 1945 that led to the end of WWII. First I covered the Aug 6th bombing of Hiroshima; then the bombing of Nagasaki 3 days later on Aug 9th.

Today, Aug 14, 1945, the Japanese Empire surrendered to the allied forces, bring an end to hostilities in the Pacific region.
