WINNING THE FUTURE

I'm not a fan of the big polling companies or the polls they release to the public. As we all know, polls are easily manipulated. This Zogby poll simply states the obvious and I doubt they manipulated it.

"A Zogby International survey reveals many Americans long for leadership qualities similar to the kind shown by former U.S. presidents Ronald Reagan and Franklin Delano Roosevelt."

Actually, Reagan came in first, while FDR was a close second. At a time when our Nation needed great leadership, Reagan and FDR stepped up and delivered the goods. One can only speculate on how our history would read had these two men not been available to lead us.

Presently, we are seeking great leadership-a great communicator-to lead our Nation through the current crisis we face. Not only are Americans seeking great leadership, I think the world is as well.

For the most part, this political cycle features very little in the way of great leadership possibilities--on both sides of the aisle. However, I think we have the makings of a great communicator, a great leader, in Newt Gingrich. Newt speaks glowingly, as did Reagan, of the possibilities America has to offer. A future of great things to come--the best days are ahead of us. Of hope.

Many will say, as they have time and time again, that Newt has too much baggage. He has baggage, no doubt. But they all do. Name one who doesn't have something that the MSM won't pounce on, exaggerate, or exploit? You can't. I'm looking for great leadership, and Newt is where I begin the search. He has ideas, passion, and a vision. That's a good start. It could be he's not the man, but Newt is where my search begins.

Looking back on Greatness...
