THE OBAMA DELUSION

There were no surprises during the democrat convention this week and there were never going to be any. The MSM attempted to sell you on the idea that all kinds of political maneuvers by the Clinton campaign were on the horizon--just stay tuned! There were none. It was all too predictable. Clinton made a deal with Obama and she held to it right up to the clearly manipulated roll call vote. Trust me, Broadway has nothing on this group of political choreographers. And the fact that the MSM is in charge of this production should scare the hell out of you.

In his column this week, Jack Cashill brings it all into focus as he writes about the Obama campaign and the one man who understood what it's all about: Orwell. This, too, should scare the hell out of you:

"Although best known for his novels, 1984 and Animal Farm, George Orwell was a political essayist of the first order. Writing sixty years ago or more, he all but predicted what might be called “the Obama Delusion.”

This is, of course, a paraphrase of the title of Richard Dawkins’s bestseller, The God Delusion, God being a likely role model for the new Messiah.


Dawkins, in turn drew this title from that classic of soft-core Buddhism, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.


"When one person suffers from a delusion it is called insanity,” observed author Robert Pirsig lamely, “When many people suffer from a delusion it is called religion."
