"PROJECT VALOUR-IT" LAUNCHES

Ok, listen up. It's Monday morning and it's time to raise more money. I know, we just completed a hugely successful campaign to raise money for SC Eagle and his family, and now we're at it again. We're at war and our wounded men and women are depending on all of us here at home to do our part, and do it we will.

Project Valour-IT has commenced action this morning by order of our Air Force Team Leader, John Noonan, of OP-FOR. At his site, John has listed the other Air Force Team members--we've got some big guns onboard. Here's what Project Valour-IT does:

"Project Valour-IT, in memory of SFC William V. Ziegenfuss, provides voice-controlled laptop computers to wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines recovering from hand and arm injuries or amputations at home or in military hospitals. Operating laptops by speaking into a microphone, our wounded heroes are able to send and receive messages from friends and loved ones, surf the 'Net, and communicate with buddies still in the field without having to press a key or move a mouse. The experience of CPT Charles "Chuck" Ziegenfuss, a partner in the project who suffered severe hand wounds while serving in Iraq, illustrates how important this voice-controlled software can be to a wounded servicemember's recovery."

Team Air Force, led by Noonan, has a goal of $45,000. All four services are competing to reach a combined goal of $180,000. Laptops aren't cheap and we need a bunch of them. I ask that you not only donate what you can by hitting the "donation button," but to post about Project Valour-IT on each of your sites.

Check to see the progress of all four teams here. While checking on the teams' progress, you can click "join team"--pick Air Force--and become part of this project.

DONATION BUTTON IS AT THE TOP OF THE SIDEBAR...HIT IT AND HIT IT HARD!!

We have two weeks. Move out!
