VETS FOR FREEDOM FOREST HIGH TOUR CANCELLATION A "PR BONANZA"--UNCLE JIMBO

Last night's BlogTalkRadio show from the Twin Cities--VETS FOR FREEDOM NATIONAL HEROES TOUR--went very well. Although the line-up of guests changed a bit, nothing was lost.

Scheduled to be interviewed was David Bellavia, Pete Hegseth, and Uncle Jimbo. However, the Fort Snelling Officers Club was packed to overflowing and Bellavia and Hegseth were lost in the crowd. Uncle Jimbo of Blackfive was on with Andrea for the first half hour and filled us in with the details of the Forest High cancellation and what the tour did afterwards.

With the cancellation of the Forest Lake High School stop, it appeared, at first, to be a fiasco. But after the dust cleared, it was one of the best things that could've happened to the VFF tour. As Uncle Jimbo remarked, "It was a PR bonanza...you can't buy advertising like this." He's right, too. This story was covered on blogs, newspapers, and national tv. Thank you, Principal Steve Massey, for being the diaper-wearing, bed wetter that you are. Btw, you can contact Massey by hitting this link. Mail him a box of diapers or, better yet, maxipads.

Uncle Jimbo has video footage of the tour here.

After Uncle Jimbo finished with his interview, he looked for Bellavia and Hegseth but they were not to be found. So he turned the phone over to Joel Arends, National Field Director for VFF. Arends did a great job of telling our audience about VFF and the tour, where they've been and where they're headed. We thank him for filling in and doing such a great job.

Also at the Fort Snelling event was Ed Morrissey of HotAir. His report is here. Our interview archive is here--enjoy!!

I'd like to thank Michelle Malkin for linking us at the last minute and helping to get the word out about the interview. Also, YankeeMom was in the chat room last night and she did a post about it as well. Lots of links to other coverage. Thanks.

If you'd like to donate something to the VETS FOR FREEDOM, hit this link. They'd really appreciate any help you could provide. Heroes all!! While you're at their site, check the tour schedule to see when they'll be in or near your town.
