FISH OR CUT BAIT

Are we at war? Well, I'm told that's the case. The president says it all the time. I'm sure he'll mention it several times during his SOTU speech this evening, too. However, here at home, I don't see our Nation on much of a war footing.

Here's my suggestion: After LTG David Petraeus completes his confirmation as the senior American commander in Iraq, give him two more stars and promote him to General of the Army. In times of war, we've always had a General of the Army. Let's get with the program and act like this is a war.
