PUTTING THE MSM IN THE CROSSHAIRS

Today I read an article that dealt with MSM bias and the danger of letting it operate unchecked. The article focuses initially on Newsweek mag but expands from there with other examples of bias. The most important aspect of the article was about putting a stop to the bias. The idea is extreme and plenty of folks will oppose it on those grounds, but we no longer have a choice in the matter. The MSM must be stopped. Here's a snip from The Bulletin:

"This is the perfect time for an all out boycott of the biased mainstream media. It is sinking fast with its lose of advertisers and viewers. For example, National Public Radio (NPR), a leader in biased journalism, faces a $23 million shortfall and is going through one of its first organization-wide layoffs in 25 years. This is a perfect time for the public to cut off contributions to NPR and to write Congressmen to urge that federal funding to NPR be cut off. The New York Times is also hitting rocky times, with a November drop in advertising of about 20 percent.

It’s time for the public to go after the mainstream media just as they would go after any other enemy of America. In a real sense, the mainstream media represents a greater danger than Islamofascism. We know how to fight Islamofascism. But we are still figuring out how to successfully fight the mainstream media. And we have barely started what we have to do to fight the mainstream media. We better get started now.

One way to get started is to follow the information posted on media watchdog sites. Some I’d recommend are http://www.mediaresearch.org/, http://www.aim.org/, www.boycottnyt.com. http://www.camera.org/, and http://www.honestreporting.com/."
