ONE OF HOLLYWOOD'S FINEST

R. Lee Ermey is one of my favorite actors, and he's a rare breed in Hollywood. Ermey is patriotic thru and thru; he tells it like it is and if you don't like it, that's your problem. Imagine a man like the Gunny in the Senate or the House.

Ermey's out promoting his latest movie, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," and Kitty sent me his latest interview. In it, he talks about everything from Iraq to Hollywood liberals. He even discusses the first time he kissed another man. That's right, the Gunny was swappin' spit with a dude. Here's a sample from the interview:

"These have to be challenging times in the military. How's everybody holding up?"

"Morale is second to none. I go to Bethesda/Walter Reed Hospital a couple of times each year, and those kids are laying there with their legs shot off and can't wait to get a prosthetic so they can get back to their unit and keep fighting the war. They're patriotic kids. One thing I can tell you: You don't find any lefties in the military. Lefties are not patriotic people. Remember the '50s, when we put the kibosh on the communist party in America? I think all they did was change their name to liberals. Shame on those people."

As you can see, Ermey doesn't think much of Hollywood elites, especially when it comes to our military. More importantly, he's willing to stand up and say it. We could use a few more like him.

Read the entire interview. Semper Fi!!

In his new movie, Ermey plays Sheriff Hoyt. THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE opens today.
