SICK, TWISTED FREAK
Glenn Beck is one of my stops during the day. Not the radio version but the CNN Headline News version. Great show, great host. Lots of talent--funny. I've watched his show since it first aired last year and, generally, I agree with him, but one time I found myself screaming at the tv. That was when he said that Tim Russert was one of the good guys. I figured they must be friends or something, because Russert is clearly not one of the good guys. He works for "them."
Anyway, ol' Glenn boy has gone and upset our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters by goin' off and doin' somthin' real stupid...like tellin' it like it is--asking questions--making demands. Glenn has Arab groups climbing all over him for not accepting--not assuming--that Muslims are simply a peace-loving group looking for a better life here in America. Land of The Great Satan. Beck, while talking with Keith Ellison, had this to say:
"The groups said that Beck -- who's drawing strong ratings with his evening show on CNN Headline News -- has stated on his show that Arab and Muslim Americans are apathetic to terrorism. During an interview in November with Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, the first Muslim member of Congress, Beck asked him to "prove to me that you are not working with our enemies."
Because he asked Ellison to "prove" he wasn't working with our enemies, Beck now has several Arab-Muslim groups putting pressure on ABC TV in an effort to stop them from hiring Beck on Good Morning America. CAIR isn't listed as one of the groups protesting but they can't be far behind.
The original story about Beck comes from Newsmax. However, I've since learned that the Washington Post has a piece in today's paper about him. It's a "hit" piece. You don't have to read very far to know that, either. Start with the title.
So, with the WaPo coming out swinging, Muslim groups attacking his flanks, I wonder if ABC will fold under the pressure? It wouldn't surprise me.
***Also in hot water today would be Tom Tancredo. He pissed off some folks in congress (just the ones of color) so expect this story to continue. BTW, did I mention that Tancredo will be interviewed by Mark and Andrea? I didn't? Well, it's true. January 29th. Details here.
Don't forget to sign the pledge in the post just below this one. Over 17,000 others have so far.
