If it's THE MASTERS... it's TRADITION

The Masters has long been my favorite sporting event of the year. The post below this one will give you a feel for what happened at the '86 Masters, but rest assured, the entire Sunday showdown revolved around one man... an unlikely man--Jack Nicklaus.

Below is Nicklaus as he continued his historic charge on Sunday, sending the tailors scurrying for a green jacket in Nicklaus' size, just in case. The hole is the par three #16... son Jackie is on the bag:

THE MASTERS 2012 HAS BEGUN

The Masters tournament at August National Golf Club began today. In 1986, something happened at The Masters that wasn't supposed to happen or even be possible. But when you're name is Jack Nicklaus, history is always nearby. This video highlights the magic of that Sunday in 1986. A Sunday performance that won't likely ever be witnessed again:

Throughout the American landscape tradition is something that seems to be fading away. But I'm here to tell you that tradition is alive and well at the Augusta National Golf Club. Tradition is what makes Augusta National and The Masters so great.THE MASTERS begins today.
