FROM THE BATTLEFIELD: GAY SENSITIVITY TRAINING

I guess we saw this coming. From The Washington Times:

"American combat troops will get sensitivity training directly on the battlefield about the military’s new policy on gays instead of waiting until they return to home base in the United States, the senior enlisted man in Afghanistan said Thursday."

NASCAR: SHOWING RESPECT FOR THOSE WHO PROVIDE US WITH FREEDOM

For some years now, during the opening ceremonies at the Super Bowl, the National Football League has been a little shy about showing proper respect to our men and women in harm's way. Yes, they have the color guard and the singing of the National Anthem, but not a mention of the ones who make freedom possible. You know, the ones being shot at while we watch the game in the safety of our homes. Back in 2006, I interviewed the NFL about this "oversight."

I say "oversight" because that's what it must be. After all, NASCAR and the Daytona 500 has no problem whatsoever in showing proper respect to those fighting and dying for our freedoms. The NFL should watch a NASCAR event.

SOFT SOCIALISM AND THE "NEW--BASELINE" STRATEGY

Found this article at I Own The World. It's the perfect piece of writing to pass on to those friends who don't have a clue as to what happened to our nation since at least the '60s. Here's a snip:

"Which brings us to Barack Obama, to whom every liberty-loving American should be eternally grateful. He is such a committed Marxist that once he made it to the White House, he shed his stealth mask and started bombarding Americans with so many wealth-redistribution programs that it awakened millions of voters."

TREVOR LOUDON OK AFTER EARTHQUAKE DEVASTATES HIS HOMETOWN--updated

NoisyRoom's TMH has posted about the earthquake in ChristChurch, New Zealand, home of New Zeal's Trevor Loudon. The town's in bad shape but Trevor is ok. Stay tuned to NoisyRoom for updates on the situation.

Back on the 18th, NoisyRoom posted a piece by Trevor simply titled:
HELP WANTED. Trevor's researching abilities are tremendous and very helpful to all of us here in the states. He uncovers more on his own than our entire MSM. But one could argue that's not much of an accomplishment since Trevor's trying and the MSM doesn't get out of bed until noon most days, if at all.

Either way, research of the quality Trevor churns out is not only time consuming, it's expensive, and coupled with the tragic earthquake yesterday, I'm sure Trevor could use a bit of a boost from all of us. You know what to do.

UPDATE: Scenes from
ChristChurch.

ROCKFORD TEA PARTIER, DAVID HALE, LOCATED AWOL WISCONSIN SENATORS, JOINS ANDREA SHEA KING FOR A REPORT

Yesterday, when the Wisconsin legislature had a scheduled vote on a controversial budget item--union benefits--some of the democrat senators decided to head for the hills...of Illinois, that is. The Rockford Register Star reports.

Here's the deal: If the democrats aren't on the floor for the vote, the vote can't take place. Hence the travel plans.

The Wisconsin senators took to the highway, southbound to the Illinois-Wisconsin state line, crossed into Illinois and found a hideaway in the cozy "resort" city of Rockford. Once there, they were safe and sound. Or so they thought.

Enter one David Hale. A local Tea Party member, Hale heard that the AWOL legislators were holed-up in a Rockford motel. Hale traveled to the site and was able to locate, confront and shoot video of the lawmakers as they made a dash for the parking lot.
The video is on it's way to going viral.

Tea Party Express III made a tour stop in Rockford back in April 2010. David Hale attended and was able to meet the entire TPX crew, headed up by Amy Kremer and Sal Russo. John Ruberry of Marathon Pundit attended and reported on the Rockford rally HERE and HERE. Teressa Monroe-Hamilton of NoisyRoom filed this report too. Andrea Shea King was there as well. *More on the developing Wisconsin situation at her site, The Radio Patriot.

Wisconsin state lawmakers making a mad dash across state lines to avoid a crucial vote on the state's fiscal problems is no laughing matter, especially to the tax payers of Wisconsin. But it does seem comical that a group of professional lawmakers would go to this extreme to avoid doing the job they were elected to do--to protect the interests of the tax payers of their state. In this case, however, it appears the union's interests are what the lawmakers are protecting.

This is a developing story. As of this writing, law enforcement officials have been sent to the home of Wisconsin's minority leader to make sure he attends the day's session. More on that as it becomes available.

*TONIGHT--
THE ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW--9 PM ET

*GUEST: David Hale, Rockford Tea Party Member. Hale will walk us through the events that led up to his confrontation with the AWOL Wisconsin lawmakers at the soon-to-be infamous Rockford motel. As a Tea Party Member, Hale should get a medal for a job well done!

UPDATE: Jesse Jackson has arrived in Madison.

The future of this nation is in the balance, and right now much of that future is being shaped under the capitol dome. Letchworth will explain what's been happening in the senate and why, but her knowledge and connections don't end there--she knows how the house side operates as well.

When it comes to congress and the legislative process, some of what you see reported on the news doesn't make sense--Letchworth will explain why that is. Sometimes it boils down to this: there's a method to their madness. After a 26 year career on the senate side, Letchworth knows all about the madness.

INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST JACK CASHILL JOINS ANDREA SHEA KING TO DISCUSS HIS LATEST BOOK: DECONSTRUCTING OBAMA

Jack Cashill has been a frequent guest on The Andrea Shea King Show. Our listeners love to hear about his projects, his latest books, and they never lose interest in many of his previous works--First Strike and Ron Brown's Body usually come up in the discussion as well.

Once Cashill digs into a subject, he doesn't let go until he puts the pieces together, at least the pieces available to him. In the end, readers are able to surmise what really happened and they begin to ask their own questions. And with Obama, questions are a very important thing, dangerous too.

This is what an investigative journalist does: he sparks the interest of the reader, drawing him in with known facts and leads them to a logical conclusion. And if the reader has a problem with some facts or the conclusion, they're sufficiently interested by that point that they begin to ask their own questions, sometimes even adding to Cashill's research.

Jack Cashill has this job in part because the MSM isn't allowed to do theirs. They have their "no report zones" clearly defined and they don't dare step over the journalist line that has been drawn for them. This is where Cashill begins his work: where the MSM is forbidden to go.

Case in point: Cashill's latest work--Deconstructing Obama.

What we don't know about Obama is out there somewhere; Cashill had to go get it, piece it together and present this presidential puzzlement to the reading community in such a way that they couldn't wait to turn the next page.

It wasn't always the case with the MSM not being allowed to do their job, either. There was a time when they bristled with questions, prompting presidents and other politicians to cut-short a presser and run for cover. The Nixon years come to mind but I'm sure there were other very interesting, journalistic times as well.

Today, though, Jack Cashill fills the shoes of all the "so-called" journalists of the day, does their homework for them and presents his reports in book and column form. I'm sure the journos of this day would love to do the same, but can't allow themselves to let loose of the big paychecks, fame, and access they so enjoy.

And those same journalists are quick on the draw when it comes to labeling a man like Cashill as a conspiracy theorist. Cashill simply asks: Do you know what they used to call conspiracy theorists? Reporters.

*TONIGHT: Jack Cashill stops by THE ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW--9 PM ET

*TOPIC: Cashill's latest book--Deconstructing Obama

CHANGING EDUCATION PARADIGMS--YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK

An interesting look at our evolving educational system. If you have trouble understanding or following this lecture, don't feel bad. You're not stupid or anything like that. It just might mean you're a product of our public school system and you need a little more work in the critical areas. And probably some much needed exposure in the areas that seem to be missing in the current curriculum. Or, your Rx needs to be refilled. In the end, you'll want to pass this one on to friends, especially the ones with school-age kids.

DOMESTIC SPYING GONE WILD

Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit is reporting that domestic spying is taking place right now in the U.S.

But here's the disturbing part: If you're of a certain political belief or religion, you could be under surveillance by a number of federal agencies. This story comes from an ex-FBI agent who became concerned with the abuses taking place. And I'm sure you can guess what happened to the FBI agent.

This is historic--The Tea Party Express held their first TPX Town Hall Meeting in Washington DC. The Radio Patriot has the report and slide show. If you're not yet affiliated with a Tea Party group, find one in your area as soon as possible. Here's the TEA PARTY EXPRESS site. *UPDATE: The Tea Party launches its own magazine.

Geert Wilders spoke the truth about freedom being under attack. Now he finds himself in court, charged with some form of hate speech. Andrea Shea King had the privilege of meeting Wilders at CPAC a couple years ago. Today
she files this report on his first day at trial. Be sure to read Wilders' speech--chilling.

Below--Sarah Palin out for a ride on the Reagan Ranch. I think I lifted this from

ARE THE MASKS COMING OFF?

Are the masks beginning to come off? Beck warned last week that they would be, and that we'd be surprised at who's wearing them. It appears that Bill Kristol and Rich Lowry are beginning to reveal who they really are. Joe Klein... no need for further comment.

Kristinn Taylor and Andrea Shea King have done extensive research into the activities of Code Pink, their friends, allies and political connections. Beck picked up on their reporting and used it for show prep, showcasing the anti-American activities of this most dangerous group. A group that receives nearly zero coverage in the media. Now that Code Pink is getting the exposure they deserve, not only the left but some so-called conservatives on the right are attacking Beck for his coverage.

Instead of proving Beck wrong on his reporting, which they are welcome to do, they affix labels to him: Creating hysteria? Really? This is clearly a move straight out of the left's playbook. I find that troubling.

Taylor and King have responded to the Kristol--Lowry piece but I doubt it will put this thing to bed. In fact, I'm sensing this will snowball on Kristol and Lowry and finally come back to bite them on their ivy covered backsides.

Since the republican party has its RINOs, it's only fitting, I guess, that the conservative journalists, commentators and pundits should have their own brand of RINOism as well. Bill Kristol and Rich Lowry seem to be the first to step out of the closet, remove their masks and show the world who they really are.

And they have every right to do this. I ask only that they provide some backup, debunking, if you will. Now if these more-than-educated boys aren't up to the job, I'd simply pass on the sound advice given by Dr. Jerry Corsi who once debated someone who didn't know what he was talking about: Said Corsi--"You should do more reading and a lot less writing."

Sound advice, indeed.

Read Kristinn Taylor and Andrea Shea King's latest.

WRIGLEY FIELD'S WINTER WONDERLAND

Chicago is being hit hard by a weather system traveling eastward. Wrigley Field was hit by high winds, sustaining some damage. View Wrigley Field "live" via EarthCam. (Due to weather, I suppose, this cam takes a few seconds to load.)

John Ruberry at Marathon Pundit gives us his weather report from Chicago (Morton Grove, Illinois.)

**Now that the Wrigley Cam is having connection issues, here's "the scene of the crime" cam.

"THE STORY OF THE EGYPTIAN REVOLUTION"

The story comes from American Thinker, and is told by someone on the ground in Egypt. Focused mainly on how and what has happened in the past week, it also points out the personal struggle for survival you don't often see in news coverage.

Of particular interest for me, is the role of social media. When you fully understand the power of this new tool and how it was used, it becomes clear why the Egyptian government reached for the Internet "kill switch." More importantly, it becomes clear why Obama wants the same capability at his fingertips.

THE TWITTER LIST OF GOP FRESHMEN IN CONGRESS

Warner Todd Huston has compiled the complete listing of TWITTER addresses for the newly elected GOP. I know the Obama Admin will regard this "information" as a distraction, a diversion or something that will put too much pressure on each of us. We disagree. Thank You, Warner.

Now go follow them!

"THE DAY THE INTERNET WENT DARK"

This week in WorldNetDaily's Surfin' Safari column, Andrea Shea King's lead story is about Egypt's use of the Internet "kill switch." Since there's legislation sitting on Harry Reid's desk for a "kill switch" here in America, you had better get familiar with this story and fast.

King covers the senate legislation, who's behind it, and who'll have the ultimate power to flip the "switch" in the event they deem it necessary. Do you know how the Internet is shut down? King covers that as well, plus much more.

THE DAY THE INTERNET WENT DARK--Andrea Shea King.

**TONIGHT** 9PM ET--
THE ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW. We'll be covering many topics, including the Internet "kill switch."
