HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ?

Last night I was looking for something on YouTube and ran across these videos of 9-11. Seeing them again reminded me of how the MSM doesn't give them much play, anymore. When was the last time you saw one on tv? The footage of 9-11 should be played again and again, if only as a reminder of the evil that wants to destroy us. You know, Obama says he's willing to talk with them. That would make him a fool, or worse.

PAM MEISTER HITS A NERVE WITH "OBAMA PRAYER"

Pam over at Blogmeister USA put her creative side to work and composed a prayer based on the ObamaChrist. Take note of the comment section--some, believe it or not, aren't happy with her work. (Comment from "Shut up" is my personal favorite)

OBAMA'S PRAYER
By Pam Meister

Our Obama, who art in Washington
Flip-flop be thy name.

They Presidency come, they will be done
In D.C. as it was in Chicago.

Please take away our daily bread
And raise our taxes
As we appease voters who want social services.

And lead us away from self defense
And deliver us from sovereignty.

For thine is the way of globalism
And the power of Socialism
Forever and ever,
Yes we can.

WND'S JOSEPH FARAH CALLS FOR "GENERAL UPRISING OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE"

And it couldn't come at a better time.

If you only read one article today, it should be the one written by WND's Editor, Joseph Farah. And if you blog, Farah's article should be mentioned and linked.

Farah is proposing something that all of us should've been doing long ago: GETTING CONGRESS' ATTENTION.

The price of gasoline is what sparked Farah's call to action and he's asking for all bloggers and radio talk show hosts to get involved.

The average price of a gallon of gas has dipped below $4, so don't go thinking everything's ok, because it isn't. Not only are we being screwed, our national security is on the line--it's time we let congress know who they work for.

From Farah's article:

Farah is calling on Americans to flood Congress with e-mails, phone calls, letters and text messages demanding action that can lead the country in the direction of energy independence.

"Right now, that means lifting the moratorium," he says. "That's the first step. If we can't agree on that as Americans today, then we are in for a long period of national economic decline. If we can't push Congress to do the right thing with even a strong majority of Democrats behind us, then this country is simply no longer a place where the will of the people means anything."

For me, Farah has great timing. More later.

WHEN IT COMES TO FREEDOM, WHERE DOES YOUR CITY RANK ?-- OBAMA'S HOMETOWN RANKED THE WORST!

Reason Magazine did a survey to find out which cities are the most restrictive when it comes to our freedoms. Since we're on a collision course with socialism, I think this survey is a great idea--it gives a sense of just how far down the toilet we've gone. Here are the rules:

"To find the best and worst cities for exercising personal freedom, reason ranked the 35 most populous municipalities in the United States in eight areas: alcohol, tobacco, sex, guns, gambling, drugs, freedom of movement, and a catch-all category of food and “other.”

I found this article posted at Ace's. He mentions how the most obvious element was left out: taxes. Taxes have everything to do with freedom, so why not include it? Anyway, the higher a city's ranking, the less freedom it has, according to the survey.

I wonder if the ObamaChrist will comment on the article?

G. I. JO 1917-2008

Singer Jo Stafford passed away last Wednesday. She lived 90 long years. I hope they were all happy ones.

During World War II and Korea, Stafford took time to go overseas to make sure our GIs were entertained. She brought a little warmth and happiness to an otherwise bleak environment. In my book, that'll get you a front row seat in Heaven. Bless her soul.

From the NYT:

"A favorite of American servicemen, Ms. Stafford earned the nickname G.I. Jo for her recordings in which her pure, nearly vibrato-less voice, with perfect intonation, conveyed steadfast devotion and reassurance with delicate understatement...She was the vocal embodiment of every serviceman’s dream girl faithfully tending the home fires while he was overseas."

"AND THE WORLD WAITED" JULY 20, 1969

As a Nation, we've accomplished some amazing things, but landing on the moon has to be at the top of the list. 39 years ago today, we landed on the moon for the first time. A proud moment for all Americans.

The space program and I were born about the same time. As a little kid I watched as the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs went through their phases, each flight accomplishing greater feats than the previous. For a youngster, it was exciting stuff to watch. Then, at 13, along with the rest of the world, I watched as Apollo 11 landed, and shortly thereafter, those first steps. Absolutely incredible.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY CUTBACKS CONTINUE AS BOTTOM LINE WORRIES MOUNT

Because of skyrocketing fuel costs, airlines have cutback on just about everything they can in an effort to stay in business. Frustrated passengers are also complaining that more and more basic services are now coming with a price tag. How bad can it get? Take a look:

TWA FLIGHT 800; QUESTIONS STILL LINGER

Jack Cashill's latest article takes us back 12 years to an aviation disaster that, like many events during the Clinton years, leaves us with more questions than answers:

"I dedicated my book, What’s The Matter With California, to a retired United Airline pilot named Ray Lahr, “a true Californian and patriot”—and with good reason.

Today, the tireless World War II vet and his intrepid attorney, John Clarke, are all that stand in the way of the successful execution of the single most astonishing cover-up in American peacetime history.

What makes this whole event so astonishing is that TWA Flight 800 went down with 230 good souls on board in full view of literally hundreds of eyewitnesses on Long Island’s affluent south shore.

Even more astonishing, although 270 of those eyewitnesses—pilots, fishermen, surfers, military people—gave the FBI detailed accounts, many with illustrations, of a likely missile attack on the aircraft, the New York Times interviewed not a one of them." Continue reading.

Cashill has written extensively about TWA 800--more than any one investigative journalist and obviously more than the MSM. His 3-part series on Sandy Berger is eye-opening and will leave you wondering to yourself.

JUDGE NAPOLITANO EDUCATES US ABOUT CONGRESS AND THE CONSTITUTION

In the post below I asked a question: How did we get to this point? The question was directed at the financial troubles plaguing our Nation today. I think this video will give you the answer. Wake up.

"RUN" ON INDYMAC LEAVES JUST ONE QUESTION

Preaching doom and gloom isn't something I do, but the fact is we're having one financial calamity after another. A "run" on a bank in this day-and-age seems rather shocking, especially in conjunction with all the other problems we're facing.

How did we get to this point? That's the question all of us should be asking. And I bet you know the answer, too.

As "bank runs" go, this one's fairly tame:

ANDREA SHEA-KING REPORTS ON "PUMA--JUST SAY NO DEAL" FOR A WORLD-NET-DAILY EXCLUSIVE

Last Wednesday on The Andrea Shea-King Show, we interviewed Will Bower of PUMA-JUST SAY NO DEAL. Bower's grassroots organization thinks Hillary was cheated out of the nomination, so they're focusing their efforts on getting her name placed at the top of democrat ticket for president.

Whether they succeed or not, they have one common goal in mind: NObama! PUMA-JUST SAY NO DEAL boasts a couple million members and growing--they have the full, undivided attention of the Obama campaign, too. What's more, they are raising millions of dollars for Hillary.

Since Andrea secured the interview with Bower for her Wednesday show, WorldNetDaily tapped her to cover the story of this growing coalition of Hillary supporters. Saturday's issue of WND headlined Andrea's story.

If you're not aware of PUMA-JUST SAY NO DEAL, it's not surprising. The MSM has ignored the story. But the Obama campaign, including Hillary, constantly make reference to the group's membership. As late as last Thursday morning in NYC, Hillary, again, referred to those who are frustrated, saying:

"...that it was time to get over the frustrations of the primaries and pull together to put Mr. Obama in the White House."

PUMA-JUST SAY NO DEAL is in play for the rest of the election cycle. To learn more about them, read Andrea's article, go to the PUMA site, and listen to Andrea's archived radio show with Bower from last Wednesday. Btw, Bower is a great interview. If you have your own show (Rush), invite him on for an interview. You won't be sorry.

Talk about reaching across party lines: NObama!

NOTE: The PUMAs also have their own BlogTalkRadio show--NO WE WON'T P.U.M A. RADIO. Each time I've listened, there's never less than 100 folks in the chat room. It's a busy show with lots of energy, passion, and interviews. Next show is 7-13 at 8 PM Eastern. Hit the above link to hear their last show, and take note of their opening. Very fitting.

POLITICAL CASTRATION

I'm not sure what Jesse Jackson was thinking when he suggested castration for Obama. Some say it was planned. I have no idea. Jackson, of course, will get a pass for these remarks. Marathon Pundit reminds us that this kind of talk is a "Chicago thing"--he's probably correct.

Is this what Jackson had in mind for Obama?

TONIGHT--PUMA LEADER JOINS ANDREA TO DISCUSS "JUST SAY NO DEAL"--IT'S A BIGGER DEAL THAN YOU THINK

PUMA? Party Unity My Ass. PUMAs--said to number in the millions--are the voters in the democrat party who are NOT happy with the way Hillary was treated by the party--they believe she should be the party nominee. So upset, they are, they've put together a grassroots organization located at Just Say No Deal.

All PUMAs have one goal in mind: NObama. The MSM hasn't been covering this group but, come convention time, I doubt they'll be able to ignore them. (I'm on board with the NObama thing)

Will Bower, leader of the movement, will be joining Andrea Shea-King this evening to discuss this growing organization. Much more info over at Radio Patriot.

Show begins at 9 PM ET.

MARATHON PUNDIT HEADED TO MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL TO COVER CONVENTION

Our good friend from Morton Grove, Illinois--Marathon Pundit--applied for press credentials to the Republican National Convention and was approved. According to Ruberry, he's not the first in his family to attend a convention as a reporter. Read about it.

CNN PRESENTS: THEIR FACTS--UPDATED

Powerline reviews a carefully crafted piece done by CNN on Col. Bud Day--Greyhawk originally posted the story. CNN being CNN, there were certain things they wanted you to know about the Col., and a few things they didn't want you to know.

Personally, I'm sick of these stories. The Leftstream Media--this time CNN--are busted on a daily basis for this type of reporting but nothing ever comes of it. For now, the MSM controls the message and there's not much we can do about it, except continue bringing attention to it.

Carl Cameron interviews Col. Day.

***I've been talking with Andrea about Col. Bud Day and the CNN piece. Let me tell you, she's not happy at all. In fact, she's been on the phone making things happen. During our last conversation, I remembered a post I did a couple years back about the C-141 StarLifter's retirement. Tail number 60-177 "The Hanoi Taxi".

This is the 141 that brought our POWs home in '73 to Clark AFB. Bud Day was among those on board in '73. Here's the retirement video (below) with Col. Bud Day present and accounted for.

UPDATE: Powerline has more about the CNN--Col. Bud Day story. Gateway Pundit has more, plus a video interview of Col. Day discussing Wesley Clark's latest comment (attack) on McCain. Malkin weighs in.

BIRTHDAY WISHES TO GAYLE

Today, one of my blogger friends is having a birthday. Now, being that this friend is a woman, we're not supposed to discuss age, but in honor of Gayle's special day, I'm putting all that aside. She's 39!!

39 is a great age and she should be proud of it. She's a fantastic person and a blogger with lots to say. She holds some strong opinions about the current state of politics and the world. And I've noticed for quite some time that her wisdom seems far ahead of her 39 years.

AND YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE CRANKY? is Gayle's blog--head over and wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

FROM THE "SOUTHERN COMMAND"

The entire article about Limbaugh in the NYT Magazine is outstanding. I thought Rush's comment about Bill O'Reilly was spot on:

"At dinner the night before, Bill O’Reilly’s name came up, and Limbaugh expressed his opinion of the Fox cable king. He hadn’t been sure at the time that he wanted it on the record. But on second thought, “somebody’s got to say it,” he told me. “The man is Ted Baxter.”

Yes, somebody had to say it. For me, though, there's always been one thing that set O'Reilly and Baxter apart: I always enjoyed watching Ted Baxter.
