CALIFORNIA STATE SENATOR ORGANIZING BOYCOTT OF RUSH LIMBAUGH
California state senator Leland Yee (D-SF) is organizing a boycott of Rush Limbaugh's major advertisers because Limbaugh was imitating the Chinese language on-air during a recent visit by the Chinese president. This, of course, makes Limbaugh a racist.
Yee is demanding an apology from Limbaugh and is organizing a backlash with lawmakers both in California and nationally.
When it comes to Limbaugh, Yee is able to organize people into taking action in a big way. When it comes to protecting California's financial future and standing in the world, Yee isn't so effective or outspoken. But that's California.
For those of you who haven't been paying attention: California is bankrupt.
The GOP stampeded across the state of Pennsylvania last night, crushing most democrats who dared get in the way. Not the case in California, though. Brown took the governor's race despite Whitman's $140+ million dollar war chest; Boxer never had a problem with Carly; and our new Lt. Gov is the ex-mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsome. Officially, California is finished for the foreseeable future and no one has a clue how it will end. Just that it won't end well. Overall, however, the GOP changed the political landscape of our nation in a single evening, thanks mostly to the Tea Party movement--(TPX statement) The Crown Jewel race in Nevada--Angle/Reid--was a huge disappointment, but we'll soldier on, make the necessary changes where we can, and prepare for '12. And that preparation begins today. The progressives never take a day off; we won't--can't--either. TONIGHT on THE ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW, we'll be discussing some of the election night victories as well as some of the defeats--surprising defeats and surprising victories. Tune in at 9 PM EST.Andrea has her "morning after" thoughts posted, too.
