SINGER ETTA JAMES TERMINALLY ILL

Sad news in the world of really great singers. Etta James is terminally ill with leukemia. Story here. Hat tip: BigFurHat, who takes the copy editor to task for the sloppy job.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BIGFURHAT AT "I OWN THE WORLD"

Say Happy Birthday to him!

On one of my several daily visits to I Own The World, I ran across an interesting post involving businessman, Gene Simmons, of KISS fame. I never followed KISS back in the day, but I do take a look at Simmons' reality show from time to time. He's most impressive when gets to talking business because, well, he's an extremely successful businessman.

As you'll see, Simmons' comments are directed at governments and how they screw up everything they get their hands on. Putting a businessman at the head of government seems to be a good idea, according to Simmons. And he offers up some wonderful advice on what we should do with our politicians.

Read all about it at I Own The World.

As for putting a businessman at the head of government, sounds reasonable to me.

ANN BARNHARDT TALKS MF GLOBAL CRISIS WITH ANDREA SHEA KING--9 PM ET

TONIGHT: Join Andrea as her guest Ann Barnhardt of Barnhardt Capital Management schools the audience on little Johnny Corzine and the MF Global meltdown. MF Global looks like just another failure on Wall Street but Barnhardt has other ideas--it doesn't take much of an investigator to connect these dots, so be sure to tune in.

TONIGHT--THE GIRLS OF "I OWN THE WORLD" JOIN ANDREA SHEA KING--NO COVER CHARGE BUT THERE'S A TWO DRINK MINIMUM

THE BIG NEWS for Friday's Andrea Shea King Show: The girls from I OWN THE WORLD will be joining Andrea this evening for a little girl talk. I suspect we'll be talking with them--all FOUR of them--about their individual talents and how they got involved with one of the funniest sites on the net. And if we're lucky, we'll get them to give us the skinny on the brains behind this off-the-charts entertaining site--Big Fur Hat. I mean, there must be something wrong with this guy since he never fails to find humor at every turn in these challenging, and sometimes frightening, times we find ourselves in.

Whatever the case, we're all glad Big Fur Hat and his crew at I OWN THE WORLD are there to "take the edge off" of life here in what used to be America.

THE ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW--9 PM ET--Be there or these chicks will form a posse and track you down. No, really. The whole crew's probably on some kind of "watch list" in DC. Be very careful. The Radio Patriot has more.

TONIGHT--9 PM ET--"I OWN THE WORLD"

I OWN THE WORLD'S Big Fur Hat and Lori Ziganto will be joining Andrea for another look at this creative, funny, and popular website. Some have trouble finding anything funny about what's happening in the world, especially in Washington, but these guys have a way pointing out the absurdity and presenting it in way that leaves you laughing. Face it--sometimes it's good to just laugh.
