REVEILLE--A TRIBUTE TO THOSE WHO SERVED

You've probably seen this before. If so, watch it again. Either way, pass it down the line for those who haven't. Never forget. (Hat tip: Rudy in NC)

BG Steve Ritchie and the rescue of Roger Locher

Just one outstanding story. As the story progressed, I began to think of Roger Locher as today's America. Which leaves the question hanging out there: what will we be willing to do to rescue this great nation? What?

MEMORIAL DAY 2011

MEMORIAL DAY 2011

In Flanders Fields--John McCrae, 1915:

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

ABOUT THOSE MILITARY ABSENTEE BALLOTS

You know, each election cycle the absentee ballots of our uniformed men and women never seem to make it back here in time to make a difference. It happens every cycle. Citizens complain, congress throws out a few nominal sound bites. Nothing changes. Zip.

Andrea Shea King--The Radio Patriot--is ahead of the curve on this problem. I suggest you follow her lead. You know what to do.
