I met Debbie one early morning in Berkeley, California, as we stood together along with many other patriots to fight the city council's actions against the local Marine Corps recruiting station. I want to introduce you guys to someone who has changed my life — in crazy ways, great ways and tormenting ways — but all for the better.Her name is Debbie Lee and her son, Marc Alan Lee, was the first Navy SEAL killed in Iraq on Aug. 2, 2006.
I met Debbie at CPAC last year, listened to the heroic efforts of her son on that fateful day in Iraq and her amazing life story. She also spoke of what she was doing with the Tea Party Express and the present state of our country’s political problems. Needless to say, I was in tears.Seeing the purity in her soul, I immediately offered her my assistance in anything she may ever do or need (and that’s just the way we should be with the families of our fallen).
Since I have met Debbie, I have heard so much about her son and learned from him as if we were swim-buddies.I have also grown to understand and appreciate Debbie’s organization, AmericasMightyWarriors.org. Debbie’s organization was founded and inspired by her son’s last letter home, before he was killed. This letter is an illustration of war and the nasty people associated with it. In the letter, Marc pleads with us to do ‘random acts of kindness’ and truly take care of each other as Americans. Debbie’s organization is her way of picking up the flag in the wake of her son’s death.
America’s Mighty Warriors is a multifaceted organization aiming to help the families of the fallen in their time of need and grief, by sending care packages to military overseas and by advocating for troops. What some may not realize is, when a person is in the military, the soldier does not have civil rights – he or she has the UCMJ.
Debbie is an amazingly driven and busy woman and she needs help with a bunch of things (I am not telling her that I am writing this…. I know she wouldn’t let me post it).
She runs an all-volunteer staff — and we all know good help is hard to find – and strong volunteers are sometimes even harder to find.She speaks all over the country, many times for free.
I am here today to tell you of her service and dedication to the cause of our troops. She is committed to educate people on the importance of military and help civilians understand the sacrifices made by our military every single day.
I ask you to help this noble woman on her quest by helping her and volunteering or giving some money.This woman is amazing and deserves our help.
This week is her birthday and Aug. 2 is the anniversary of her son’s death.
Understandably, this is an emotional time for her and she needs our help.I recommend that you go to the site and listen to her speak and to read her son’s “Glory Letter.”

Debbie has a heart of gold and takes absolutely no money out of AMW herself. All donations go to her charity and to the troops. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for our troops.I have watched her walk up to multiple military men at the airports and buy their lunches or dinners and I’ve seen her hand out ‘thank you’ cards to servicemen and women she didn’t even know. Debbie is a treasure and we need to help support her in all she does because it is good and right.
DAY FIVE of the TPX IV tour ended on a high note with an exceptional rally in Phoenix, AZ. where Sarah Palin was a surprise speaker. Palin dropped by to say a few words to the gathered patriots, and afterwards she worked the rope line like few others can do. She's the genuine article, I think. The crowds think so as well. Below you'll see a video tribute to Navy Seal Marc Alan Lee. Marc was the first Navy Seal to be killed in Iraq, and his Gold Star mom Debbie Lee pays tribute to him at each of the rally stops. It's a heart-wrenching story of how her son found himself in a fire fight with the enemy, and with one of his team members down and seriously wounded, Marc did what Seals are trained to do: put themselves in harm's way to get help to their downed team member... at all costs.
On that day, the cost was as high as it gets. Marc stood in the line of fire--not once, but twice--so his team members could get to the wounded Seal. During this operation, Marc was mortally wounded. Although Marc Alan Lee is gone from this life, Debbie Lee keeps his memory alive so everyone can understand what these brave, skilled, and unrelenting warriors are willing to do so that we can enjoy our freedoms back at home. His story is compelling, only to be topped by his final letter home. One day I hope Gold Star Mom Debbie Lee will find time to put this story into book form, and then possibly a talented script writer will bring it to the silver screen. One day.

Memorial Day is set aside each year so we can honor those who gave their all in service to our nation. Below are two such servicemen.
On this Memorial Day, I'd like to point out, and thank, a group of people for the work they do in honoring our nation's deceased military members.
In 2006 I wrote about Nichelle Cushing. One day while watching a military funeral on television, Nichelle saw something that bothered her, so she took it upon herself to help correct the problem. Nichelle was just 11-years-old. Here's her story:
On the day they buried Beecher Pierce, Nichelle Cushing stood at parade rest in a cold, pounding rain, some hundred yards from the coffin. High-top, lace-up boots slightly apart. A black beret cocked with formal precision on her hair. A small American flag pinned near the neck of her long black dress. One hand behind her back, the other gripping a 105-year-old bugle.
As Pierce's Masonic brothers concluded the rites, a gun squad of airmen in dress blue uniforms raised their rifles. Three volleys echoed across Fort Richardson National Cemetery.

Last night, the TPX crew was treated to a night out for a good meal. TPX TV set up live-streaming equipment table side and sent out invites so TPX supporters could attend the dinner via computer. During the dinner, viewers enjoyed watching many of the crew members being interviewed.They even had a chat room feature so viewers could interact with the crew. A huge success for TPX TV's Wm and Selena Owens.
