Time sure does fly. It's now the end of the week and the last time I posted was Monday. Anyway, I've been a bit busy with this and that, and of course Andrea causes me all kinds of extra work. The woman never stops, I tell ya.

So when I'm thin on posts here, stop over at my Facebook account and see what's happening there. Usually something of note being posted... as a matter of fact, I have several items over there now. Ck 'em out! Take care.

"CAMPAIGN TO DEFEAT OBAMA" IN LAS VEGAS FOR STRATEGY MEETINGS

**Attention Patriots: What happened over the last few days in Las Vegas will NOT be staying in Las Vegas. Lloyd Marcus--Chairman of The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama has an important message for you about that Vegas meeting. As Co-Chair of CTDO, Andrea Shea King was in attendance, I'm proud to say. My friends and fellow patriots - I am delighted to share with you a bit of a political secret. The past few days a team of conservative leaders, tea party activists and Republican political experts have gathered for an important series of meetings and strategy sessions.

The purpose of these fantastic planning sessions: to plot the DEFEAT of Barack Obama and elect constitutional conservatives to Congress. It has been an amazing few days. Here is one of the pictures from these strategy sessions:

One of the great things about the team we have at The Campaign to Defeat Obama is that everyone gets the point that it's not just about changing a "D" to an "R" - it's about electing true constitutional patriots to office.

So many people have told us they have concerns about one of the potential Republican nominees. And we understand those concerns - none of the candidates are perfect. What that should underscore for us is this simple point: beyond just defeating Barack Obama we must ensure we elect good conservative constitutionalists to Congress - to serve as a check on whoever is president.

We need to stop the out-of-control spending. It just never ends - more debt ceiling increases, more new government programs, more growth in the size and power of government. The political establishment likes the growth in government because it means there is more of the pie for them to divvy up and stake their claim to.

But the American people suffer as a consequence. We lose our freedoms and our liberties. We impose massive amounts of debt on our children's generation, tying their hands and making them dependent upon the Chinese and European bankers who will want them to pay back all the money we have been borrowing for the past few years.

If we, the American people, can team up and work together we can bring about real change - a return to the principles that made this country great. We can end the deficit spending, we can stop the growth in government, we can reverse the erosion of our freedoms and liberties.

But, we can't do it unless we all work together.

Over the next few weeks we are going to share more with you about the efforts that have taken place over the past few days here in Las Vegas. One thing you need to know - when it comes to our effort to defeat Barack Obama and elect a conservative Congress, you can be sure that what has happened in Vegas the past few days won't stay in Vegas. We're taking the fight for our future to battlegrounds all across this great nation, and we will be honored to have your support in this critical endeavor.

Day one of the TPX IV tour was a huge success with rallies in Reno and Elko, Nevada. Palin's message to the attendees in Reno was clearly heard in Las Vegas--see the Las Vegas Sun's morning headline below. A major hit piece on Angle.

Here's what the Sun has to say about Palin and the TPX, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal is carrying this story as well. "HARRY PELOSI"--thank you Andrew Breitbart--can smell the diesel fumes of the TPX IV's caravan of buses headed their way today. Fear is in the air and they're pulling out all the stops.

Today's TPX IV events begin with a Rally in Ely, NV at Noon, and then on to Las Vegas at 6 PM. For future TPX rallies, check the entire tour schedule here. *UPDATE I--12:15 PM out of Nevada via Andrea Shea King from the Red Bus: TPX IV will be late arriving for the rally in Ely because of road construction. Not to worry, though, they will be there! The arrival for the Las Vegas rally later this evening will be on time--6:00 PM. TPX IV officials have secured a 100 MOTORCYCLE ESCORT into Las Vegas, so traffic will not be a problem. More to come...

**UPDATE II: 1:45 PM from Andrea Shea King. The rally in Ely, NV went off very well, despite arriving a little late. The crowd was great and many youngsters were seen in attendance with their parents. Pics of that event will be coming later. In the meantime, below you'll see Andrea pointing to Ely, NV on the side of a TPX bus. And below that, on the road to Ely with Sal Russo. I don't know the names of the other two fellows. LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE: REID VS ANGLE DEBATE

With polling data showing Harry Reid tied or slightly trailing Sharron Angle, one thing is clear: Reid is on the ropes. Tonight, to be broadcast live from the PBS studios in Las Vegas, the two will face-off in their only scheduled debate. Advantage--Angle.

HARRY REID'S LAKE TAHOE--"THE PLAN" TO SAVE IT FROM ECONOMIC DESTRUCTION

Whenever I get the chance to point out that Nevada's economy is going down the progressive drain, I relish the opportunity.

Lake Tahoe, like Las Vegas and Reno, is suffering through our ongoing economic freefall. But, according to some, there's good news on the horizon, because a study suggests that Tahoe needs to shift away from gambling--the economic engine of Tahoe--to a more eco-friendly economy.

These folks refer to this as "eco or geotourism." In other words, a lot of yoga festivals with music. This is the plan to save the Lake Tahoe region. Can't you just hear the cash registers ringing?

"If the Tahoe Basin economy must shift – as a recently unveiled study suggests – from relying on gamblers to appealing to environmentally conscious tourists, events such as the Wanderlust Yoga & Music Festival are its future." --continue reading.

Here's my plan: On November 2nd, go to your polling station and vote for Sharron Angle. Then, go down ticket and vote out every last one of these progressive democrats and weak, rino republicans, and then, and only then, will Nevada have a fighting chance at survival.

RENO'S HOT AIR BALLOON RACES LOSING SPONSERS; NEVADA'S ECONOMIC SITUATION CONTINUES DOWNWARD SLIDE

The largest free hot air balloon festival in the United States is held in Reno, Nevada each year. This year, however, the festival has more balloon pilots than sponsors, sending the city scrambling to find more sponsors in order to keep the event airborne.

The economic downturn in Nevada is taking its toll on the balloon festival, just as it's taken its toll on Reno's largest annual community event, Hot August Nights. From the Reno Gazette:

"With the loss of about $35,000 in major sponsorship money, the Great Reno Balloon Race is pushing for more, but less expensive, corporate sponsorships.

"The popular September event lost the $35,000 with the defection of three major sponsors. The commitment of each exceeded $10,000, event organizers said."

Apparently, people are still taking Obama's admonishment seriously and staying away from cities like Las Vegas and Reno. Although Obama didn't mention Reno by name, it goes without saying that a corporation isn't going to cancel its convention in Vegas, move it to Reno and not expect blow back from the White House. And to make matters worse, Harry Reid stood by without muttering a word in defense of his state.

In November, Nevada voters will be looking closely at their ballots, especially the U.S. Senate race between Harry Reid and Sharron Angle. My money's on Angle, and I'll be taking full odds.

WAYNE NEWTON DESTROYS OBAMA; SUPPORTS REID

On Tuesday, Wayne Newton spent some time with Neil Cavuto. Newton talked about how bad business is in Las Vegas and who's responsible for making it worse. Of course, I speak of your president--Obama. Newton didn't pull any punches when speaking about your president. However, he did make a big point of supporting Harry Reid. A very odd position to be in. Great interview, especially Newton's parting analysis of your president.

FRANK LUNTZ REPORTS FROM LAS VEGAS; NEWS NOT GOOD FOR REID

Friday's Hannity show produced a very important exchange, giving us a look at the current political climate in Nevada. Tucker Carlson was filling in for Hannity, and his guest was Frank Luntz who was doing the guest shot from Las Vegas. The topic: Harry Reid, Obama and the mid-term elections.

AS LAS VEGAS GOES, SO GOES HARRY REID

Harry Reid will be doing battle this November with Sharron Angle for Nevada's senate seat. Las Vegas will be the battleground. To look at Las Vegas today, you'd think a war has already been fought there. The city is an economic disaster, getting worse by the day and no end in sight. At this point, I'd say Reid's chances are comparable to that snowball in hell. Even so, Support Sharron Angle right up to election day!

TURN OUT THE LIGHTS, THE PARTY'S OVER IN LAS VEGAS

I'm wondering just how many residents of Las Vegas will be attending the Tea Party Express III mega-rally in Searchlight, Nevada on Saturday. 40%? Read the headline story in today's Las Vegas Sun.

LAS VEGAS "WINS", DETROIT "PLACES", ATLANTA "SHOWS"

Later this month (March 27), the Tea Party Express III will begin its cross-country tour at Searchlight, Nevada, home of Harry Reid. This is by design and for good reason. Reid, the third tentacle of the progressive hydra, is in the midst of a perfect political storm, a storm he will likely not survive. This political fact-of-life is not lost on the organizers of the Tea Party Express, either. Thousands will attend the Searchlight whistle stop, including Governor Sarah Palin.

Outside of storing nuclear waste, some mining and a smattering of military installations, Nevada doesn't have much in terms of an industrial base. However, Nevada does possess something no other state or nation can match: Las Vegas--the entertainment capitol of the world. Las Vegas is Nevada's economic engine, and it has a long reach in terms of economic activity. The world, to put it simply, is Vegas' market base. If life were found on another planet, they too would soon be booking flights bound for Vegas.

As we're discovering, even Nevada's economic crown jewel is not immune from the recession/depression. Business is cyclical. But, add to the mix Obama's admonishment to stay away from Las Vegas, coupled with Harry Reid's silence on the matter, and what you have is an economic disaster playing out right in front of not only Nevada's eyes, but the nation's: From Forbes:

"Las Vegas edged Detroit for the title of America's most abandoned city. Atlanta came in third, followed by Greensboro, N.C., and Dayton, Ohio. Our rankings, a combination of rental and homeowner vacancy rates for the 75 largest metropolitan statistical areas in the country, are based on fourth-quarter data released Feb. 3 by the Census Bureau. Each was ranked on rental vacancies and housing vacancies; the final ranking is an average of the two."

"America's most abandoned city"--Yes, you read that correctly. Because of the progressive hydra, the people of Las Vegas are left with no other choice but to search elsewhere for better employment opportunities. If you read the Forbes piece, you will get a perspective from investors who took the risks. Risks that created job opportunities for workers to make a good living. A living used to raise their families, educate their children. And remember, these capital investment outlays didn't come from government provided programs; they came from smart, hard working business people who earned those investment dollars on their own.

Business people and working people have one important thing in common: they vote. And vote they will.

As Las Vegas goes, so goes Nevada. As Nevada goes, so goes Harry Reid.

Support the Tea Party Express III. Don't think about it, do it. It's important, patriotic work and it costs lots of money. These tours are made possible only by your generosity. Send something, anything.

WITH OBAMA THROWIN' THE DICE FOR AMERICA, IT'S ALWAYS "SEVEN OUT... LINE AWAY"

Before last night's Andrea Shea King Show, we had to find an expert to comment on Obama's latest slam on the entertainment capitol of the world--Las Vegas. And since the mayor of Vegas took Obama to the woodshed, we wanted someone who'd tell it like it is. Not a dime-a-dozen politician type who'd be ever so afraid of offending someone.

Wayne Allyn Root came to mind, and after a call to his booking agent, Wayne was on with us for a quick 15 minutes of real talk and real assessments of not only Las Vegas but of Obama himself. Root's a Vegas expert, and whether he's talking about Obama, Vegas or American business, Root tells it just as it is.

My favorite line from the interview, and there were some good ones: "The difference between Washington DC and Vegas, is that the drunks in Vegas gamble with their own money." True, so true. Listen to last night's show from our archive. You won't be sorry.
