RICK SANTELLI GOES OFF ON WASHINGTON LEADERSHIP... SAYS "We'd be rated BBB without Tea Party."

NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT, CONGRESS HAS FAILED US... AGAIN

You know it's a bad day when the ChiComs and Russians share the same conclusions pertaining to the failed attempts by congress to at least slow the economic destruction of America.  I'm not so naive to think the ChiComs and Russians aren't playing against us and using this debt crisis as an opportunity to slam us in the world-wide press, but the truth of the matter is, they are correct.  Congress failed in all respects, never coming close to addressing the problems forced upon the American taxpayers. 


The failure in congress wasn't because they didn't know how to approach the problem, they simply didn't want hometown politics to take a bite out of their collective asses come election time (business as usual.)  The will of the American people has again been ignored--few, if any, will get a pass this time around.  

The debt vote has been analyzed seven ways to Sunday, ranging from a "good start" to "absolute failure of leadership" to "disaster."  I agree with the latter two.  This was no time to take half a loaf, especially knowing we held all the cards at the table.  It simply took a spine and a simple understanding of the sheer magnitude of the economic catastrophe facing us.

"China, the largest foreign investor in U.S. government securities, joined Russia in criticizing American policy makers for failing to ensure borrowing is reined in after a stopgap deal to raise the nation’s debt limit.

"People’s Bank of China Governor Zhou Xiaochuan said China’s central bank will monitor U.S. efforts to tackle its debt, and state-run Xinhua News Agency blasted what it called the “madcap” brinksmanship of American lawmakers. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said two days ago that the U.S. is in a way “leeching on the world economy.”

As Ann Barnhardt is known to do, she says what's on her mind. The war over Washington spending, the Tea Party reps in congress and Obama are on her mind today. Here's a snip from her American Thinker column, We The Stupid:

"I stand here in abject stupefaction. The so-called "right" or "Tea Party" in this republic is being so thoroughly rolled and defeated that I am struggling to come up with an adequate violent submission metaphor that does not involve prison rape . . . and they honesty think that they're "winning." ARE MCCAIN'S REMARKS SO SURPRISING? I THINK NOT

In all practicality, this is John McCain's last dance in Washington, so he doesn't give a rat's ass what he says or what you think. So, it was just a matter of time before McCain crowed loud enough lest there be any doubts about his true nature.

We've long known McCain to be a liar, a RINO, a progressive... he's all that and then some. We know it, he knows it and without a doubt the world knows it. But have the voters of Arizona figured it out, yet? I wonder about them (with the exception of all residents of Surprise.)

Andrea Shea King--cross-posted at The NoisyRoom--shared her thoughts and included the thoughts of Dave from Dallas. Dave is the type Washington insiders simply loathe, because he has them figured right down to the last ruble and expresses his thoughts in a very clear and understandable manner. No Washington speak coming from this Texan. He knows "ruling class" when he sees it and says as much.

After thinking about the McCain floor speech yesterday, I was reminded of his '08 concession speech. Some have forgotten it--for good reason--but it was clear to all what this man was all about. When I listened to it the night of the election, I remember getting the feeling Obama and McCain were playing both ends against the middle and the election result was predetermined long before the actual election. It never felt right. And then McCain took the podium to announce his defeat.

First, the speech is 10 minutes or so but you need only listen for a minute, maybe two. If you go any deeper the vomit begins backing up in your throat. This concession speech was so ridiculous that his own people immediately turned on him, and McCain had to raise his little bitty arms to get them to back off... then he went forth with... well, just listen.

WHEN ALLEN WEST TALKS, PEOPLE LISTEN

Representative Allen West--FL22, debriefs the American people on Obama's budget proposals. I think West is a bit over-qualified for his current position and should move onward and upward. Hat tip: Radio Patriot

MEET THE PRESS: DEBATING THE TEA PARTY

Dick Armey does a great job debating the Tea Party's point of view. His opponent, however, thinks progress is only possible when the government is involved. This is the mindset we're up against.

Credit to the host for having a debate the right way: host asks question, gets out of the way. O'Reilly, I hope you were watching.

UPDATE: Don't know why Williams wasn't on O'Reilly tonight. Bill made it clear last night that Williams would be on "tomorrow night." Sorry.

Mark Williams will be on Bill O'Reilly's show this evening--8pm et. Thanks to Andrew Breitbart and the Sherrod video--a video that shows what real racism looks and sounds like--the racial spotlight is no longer on Williams. Mark Williams is no racist--he's just your everyday, hardworking American patriot.

This morning's Sacramento Bee has found more space on the front page to talk about Williams:

"Sal Russo, a GOP strategist who created a committee that has raised $5 million to fund the Tea Party Express and its political causes, said Williams is a man 'without a racist bone in his body' who is being 'attacked and vilified' unfairly."

Incumbent politicians across the nation are going through a painful and sometimes humiliating political credit check before they are "loaned" the power and privilege to do our nation's business.

After an extensive review of Sen. Bennett's political credit history, the people of Utah found that he has a record of not making all his payments. As a result, Bennett was deemed a political credit risk and his application was rejected.

TEA PARTY FUTURE: LESS GLAMOUR, MORE EFFECTIVE

In his Washington Examiner column, Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit writes about the future of the Tea Party movement. Reynolds explains where the real work is being accomplished. Reynolds attended the April 15 Cincinnati TP rally:

"But although that rally -- and the hundreds like it around the country that day -- was a scene of great excitement, that kind of excitement isn't the future of the Tea Party movement. MELANIE MORGAN: ALWAYS ON THE GO

GERALDO CONFIRMS TEA PARTY EFFECTIVENESS--Updated

Last Saturday night, Geraldo did a segment on the Tea Party that suggested the movement was in danger of being infiltrated by people wanting to do violence. Being the good soldier, Geraldo had Mark Williams follow the obvious hit piece for comment. Williams gave a block of instruction that appears to have shaken Geraldo, prompting him to cut the segment short. But no matter how foolish Gerado looked, he will continue his attempts to discredit the Tea Party movement. It's what the left does. Geraldo, and others of similar mindset, are afraid. Very afraid. SENATOR BARBARA MIKULSKI TO RETIRE; HARRY REID NEXT?

Just ran across a story about Sen. Barbara Mikulski of Maryland. She's retiring? Another Dem hits the road? Is it Christmas or what? Anyway, the story indicates she'll be announcing in a few days. According to the post, it's for medical reasons. Shortly we'll be finding out if it's true or not, but for now it looks credible. Hat Tip to HILLBUZZ.

I can't keep up with all the politicians, both republicans and democrats, who are heading for the exits--here's a listing. Again, is it Christmas?

Also, in the comments from the post below this one, Greybeard mentions to not forget about the republicans. I didn't, I was just focused on Evan Bayh, a dem, and was quite shocked to hear the news. But your point is well taken--we need to focus on the republicans just as much as the communists. Get rid of them all. Right now, party means nothing to me. The constitution, our nation, is all we should be focused on, along with those who support it as well as those who clearly do not.

ARE WE ABOUT TO HAVE A CRISIS?

Americans are waking up, albeit slowly. But waking up nonetheless. Indiana's Evan Bayh has announced he will not be running for re-election this November.

Bayh adds his name to a growing list of dems who've seen the writing on the wall--TEA PARTY. Two words, easy to understand--TEA PARTY momentum is on the move, growing stronger by the day. The pace is even surprising to me. For progressives, it must be frightening.

Obama's party is coming unraveled, with huge political losses in New Jersey, Virginia and Massachusetts. Don't forget Obama's set-backs with the Chicago Olympics, global warming conference and the recent win by a tea party organizer in New York state, and do not forget Rep. Patrick Kennedy of RI. I'm sure I'm leaving something or someone out.... oh, yes, the future loss of Sen. Harry Reid's seat in Nevada. Might as well count that one now--he's burnt toast. The political grave is already being dug for this communist SOB.

Conservatives are on such a roll, driving so hard and so fast, that I'm fairly certain what's on the horizon: crisis. This is the only thing Obama and the DNC can use to stem the flow of political bloodletting. They DID NOT come this far to lose their fight against America, the takeover of America, to a bunch of patriotic, drooling idiots. Expect a crisis in some form or another.

Keep fighting the good fight, doing whatever you can. Keep advancing at all times. Think WOLVERINES, lest this happens to us.

WITH OBAMA THROWIN' THE DICE FOR AMERICA, IT'S ALWAYS "SEVEN OUT... LINE AWAY"

Before last night's Andrea Shea King Show, we had to find an expert to comment on Obama's latest slam on the entertainment capitol of the world--Las Vegas. And since the mayor of Vegas took Obama to the woodshed, we wanted someone who'd tell it like it is. Not a dime-a-dozen politician type who'd be ever so afraid of offending someone.

Wayne Allyn Root came to mind, and after a call to his booking agent, Wayne was on with us for a quick 15 minutes of real talk and real assessments of not only Las Vegas but of Obama himself. Root's a Vegas expert, and whether he's talking about Obama, Vegas or American business, Root tells it just as it is.

My favorite line from the interview, and there were some good ones: "The difference between Washington DC and Vegas, is that the drunks in Vegas gamble with their own money." True, so true. Listen to last night's show from our archive. You won't be sorry.

POLLS INDICATE SUSTAINED LEVEL OF ANGER TOWARDS GOVT

Turns out those Tea Party people are angry...and they're coming for congress. Former Carter adviser Pat Caddell says he's never seen anything like this before--the anger and fear. I'm beginning to think this Tea Party movement isn't so fringe after all, as the MSM reports. Sounds more mainstream to me.
