MONDAY--TREVOR LOUDON TALKS WITH ANDREA SHEA KING--9PM ET

Trevor Loudon will be the featured guest on Monday's Andrea Shea King Show.

Loudon, who blogs at NEW ZEAL, is a researcher of the highest order. Although he's based in New Zealand, his work reaches well into the federal and state governments of the United States...and beyond.

The Hows and Whys of what he does will be among some of the questions we'll pose to Loudon on Monday. If you're not familiar with his work at
NEW ZEAL, you should be. Much of his work can be seen in cross-postings at Terresa Monroe-Hamilton's NoisyRoom, another important blog that's packed with important research materials.

If you're interested in being on the cutting-edge of what's happening within our government, you should bookmark both sites.

ECON 101: PAY ATTENTION TO THE MARKETS

As we near Nov 2nd, I look for signs of a "crisis." There's one brewing in the currency markets--take a look at the dollar. Is there no end to the rising price of Gold and Silver? Is oil headed back to a $100?

For the latest Financial News of the day, travel to NoisyRoom. As always, Terresa Monroe-Hamilton will prepare a wide variety of financial news from across the globe. And there's a TIP JAR located at the right margin, if you're so inclined. Don't make me "incline" you.

"FINANCIAL TELL" AT THE SACRAMENTO BEE

Saturday morning I noticed something in the Sacramento Bee that brought a smile to my face, and the Bee hardly ever brings a smile to my face. The great and only newspaper of the capitol city of California is now placing ads on its front page. Saturday, below the fold, they were selling furniture.

There's only one reason why a major newspaper would do this: ad revenue is drying up. People are getting their news from other sources--
The New Media comes to mind.

The Bee has long been a tool of the "progressive left" here in California and it was just a matter of time before they were forced into this situation. The financial realities of being a progressive rag are now coming home to roost. It's about time.

The Bee, however, is still good for wrapping fish and lining your birdcage. But for reliable news sources, try Michelle Malkin or Terresa Monroe-Hamilton's NoisyRoom.

ECONOMIC DEPRESSION: DEFINING WHAT IT IS

I was just wondering when you declare a depression, or does the govt just continue on with the endless recession declaration. "Summer of Recovery" and all that. What constitutes a depression? Here's a look--you decide if we're in one. Obama says we're not, that we're well into the recovery phase but that it will take time, you know. Obama lies most of the time at a 180 degree angle. So, I wonder...

"In economics, a depression is a sustained, long-term downturn in economic activity in one or more economies. It is a more severe downturn than a recession, which is seen by economists as part of a normal business cycle.

"Considered a rare and extreme form of recession, a depression is characterized by its length, and by abnormally large increases in
unemployment, falls in the availability of credit— quite often due to some kind of banking/financial crisis, shrinking output and investment, numerous bankruptcies— including sovereign debt defaults, significantly reduced amounts of trade and commerce— especially international, as well as highly volatile relative currency value fluctuations— most often due to devaluations. Price deflation, financial crises and bank failures are also common elements of a depression."

"There is no widely agreed definition for a depression, though some have been proposed. In the United States the National Bureau of Economic Research determines contractions and expansions in the business cycle, but does not declare depressions.[1]

"Generally, periods labeled depressions are marked by a substantial and sustained shortfall of the ability to purchase goods relative to the amount that could be produced using current resources and technology (potential output).[2] Another proposed definition of depression includes two general rules: 1) a decline in real GDP exceeding 10%, or 2) a recession lasting 2 or more years."

More on depressions here. And HIT THE TIP JAR at Noisyroom.

TEA PARTY DOES FREE POLITICAL CREDIT CHECKS

"THAT'S A TEA PARTY"--Yes, just a bible-thumpin', gun-totin', radical, fringe element of no consequence whatsoever. That's what you were told time and time again by the dispensers of truth in the left media.

The real truth: The Tea Party Movement isn't just a rally or a bus tour anymore; it's a fact of political life. Deal with it.

Incumbent politicians across the nation are going through a painful and sometimes humiliating political credit check before they are "loaned" the power and privilege to do our nation's business.

After an extensive review of Sen. Bennett's political credit history, the people of Utah found that he has a record of not making all his payments. As a result, Bennett was deemed a political credit risk and his application was rejected.

Breitbart TV has the story. (Since Bennett had a need for a tissue, you'd better have one handy too.)

The Radio Patriot hears "Laughter in the Rain."

Terresa Monroe-Hamilton introduces Gabriella, a person you will NOT see in the left media.

WITH OBAMA THROWIN' THE DICE FOR AMERICA, IT'S ALWAYS "SEVEN OUT... LINE AWAY"

Before last night's Andrea Shea King Show, we had to find an expert to comment on Obama's latest slam on the entertainment capitol of the world--Las Vegas. And since the mayor of Vegas took Obama to the woodshed, we wanted someone who'd tell it like it is. Not a dime-a-dozen politician type who'd be ever so afraid of offending someone.

(TMH has video of the mayor.)

Wayne Allyn Root came to mind, and after a call to his booking agent, Wayne was on with us for a quick 15 minutes of real talk and real assessments of not only Las Vegas but of Obama himself. Root's a Vegas expert, and whether he's talking about Obama, Vegas or American business, Root tells it just as it is.

My favorite line from the interview, and there were some good ones: "The difference between Washington DC and Vegas, is that the drunks in Vegas gamble with their own money." True, so true. Listen to last night's show from our archive. You won't be sorry.
