FOX NEWS ALREADY COVERING CARAVAN

Beginning March 8th, Move America Forward will be leaving California for Washington D.C. with a cross-country caravan in support of our troops and their memorials. As usual, the MSM will be mainly focusing their cameras on the anti-war protesters and not on the pro-troop gathering. However, Fox News is already covering the planned event. Neil Cavuto had Deborah Johns on his show to discuss the caravan and the Gathering of Eagles, which will take place on the 17th of March.

MAHER UNLEASHES ON BUSH DURING LENO APPEARANCE

Yesterday I was tipped off that Bill Maher would be appearing on Jay Leno. I would've missed it since I rarely watch the late night shows anymore. Maher went beyond his usual attacks--way beyond. However, this was not surprising. It's Bill Maher. Actually, Leno is the one who surprised me by allowing Maher to continue. Carson would never have allowed this to happen. He had class. Comedy is one thing, but attacking a sitting president in a time of war in the over-the-top manner that Maher did, is unacceptable.

JROTC UNDER FIRE IN LOS ANGELES

ROTC has been under attack on our college and university campuses for quite some time. Then the attacks moved down to the high school level with San Francisco killing the JROTC program last November.

Now JROTC is under attack in the Los Angeles school system and membership is decreasing as a result. It won't surprise you when you see who's behind the organized effort to end JROTC in LA schools. The teachers, however, got my attention:

Many teachers are openly hostile toward JROTC, Jesse said, and some wear T-shirts that say "A War Budget Leaves Every Child Behind."

ONE LETTER, ONE SPEECH

Last night, Andrea Shea-King read the text of a letter from Carla Lois--Some Soldier's Mom--that she wrote to the congressmen and women who voted for the non-binding resolution. Andrea went on to play a clip of a speech given by Congressman Sam Johnson-Texas, that he gave the other day in the House. Both the letter and the speech are important because they state what true Americans are thinking and feeling.

It's most important to review both again, talk about them, and if you have the time, post them to your sites.

Carla's letter begins with this opening salvo:

"I don't give a damn what little weaselly words about "supporting our troops" you included in your resolution. I don't care about all your self-serving statements about what your friggin' "intent" was.
You can say what you want to the media -- we KNOW what the effect is just as you knew when you voted: You slapped our Soldiers and Marines, our Sailors and Airmen... you undercut their authority on the battlefield... you have not helped them complete their mission but you have hampered them in their abilities to do so... you have put their lives at greater risk because you have told our enemy that they can and should."--read the entire letter.

MELANIE MORGAN PLANS ANOTHER CROSS-COUNTRY CARAVAN IN SUPPORT OF OUR TROOPS

Move America Forward, the pro-troop organization based here in Sacramento, and chaired by Melanie Morgan, has just announced its latest cross-country venture in support of our military.

The cross-country caravan is slotted to leave San Francisco in March and will head east to Washington D.C. As the caravan makes its way east, there will be rallies held at some of the stops, culminating in one massive, patriotic rally to be held in D.C. on March 17th. Beth has full details-go read.

WEST COAST EDUCATION CAMPS

Schools in San Francisco have approved the use of an anti-war comic book for use in history classes. The comic book is a tool for bashing America, our military, and, of course, our president. San Francisco's school system has now crossed over the line from teaching to indoctrination. I wonder who the congressional representative is in S.F.? Hmmmm.

CASHILL REVIEWS "LETTERS"

Clint Eastwood's new movie, "Letters From Iwo Jima," is about the battle for Iwo Jima from the Japanese perspective. It followed "Flags Of Our Fathers," which is from the American viewpoint.

Jack Cashill reviewed the film--"Letters From Iwo Jima"--and found the critics had missed something. In reviewing the battle, Cashill makes an interesting comparison to the war in Iraq.

Given the way the Japanese had previously defended beaches, U.S. planners worked under the presumption that the island would fall in five days. As in such warlike games as chess or football, however, real war allows each side to make intelligent decisions to advance its own interests.

Liberal critics of the Iraq war have overlooked this truism. They seem to have convinced themselves that all American failures result from "blunders" or "gross mismanagement" for which someone should "apologize." They give little credit to the opposing forces for resisting creatively and none at all to themselves for encouraging that resistance.

The struggle for Iwo Jima involved just such strategic thinking from a savvy adversary, which is why it proved so costly. Beginning Feb. 19, 1945, the five hellish weeks of Iwo Jima cost more than twice as many American lives as the four years of Iraq.

Still, as far as I know, there were no calls to bring our troops home "now" or to "redeploy" them to some safer place. The 7,000 Cindy Sheehans of Iwo Jima suffered in heroic silence.

LANDING ZONE X-RAY

Major Crandell is finally awarded the CMOH. President Bush will present it to him in a White House ceremony later this month. In the movie, "We Were Soldiers," Crandell was played by Greg Kinnear, the Huey pilot who kept flying into a closed-HOT-landing zone to re-supply the ground troops. Many more would've died had it not been for Crandell's heroics. The ground situation eventually went to "Broken Arrow." If you don't know what "Broken Arrow" means, take a look at a scene from the movie:

THE CHINA SYNDROME--CLINTON STYLE

In his latest article, Jack Cashill continues with the Sandy Berger theme. This time he covers the Berger-China connection, satellites, and the ever-hungry Clinton money machine. What happened with China, according to Cashill, makes the stealing of documents from the National Archives look tame. Don't forget, Berger will get his security clearance restored by 2008. Greybeard is experiencing "empty nest syndrome." Though his child isn't going off to battle, he remembers when he left the nest and how his parents saw him off to war; he's wondering how parents deal with it today.

OLD GLORY BATTLES OLD MONEY

The Donald and the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, are engaged in an "old money-new money" pissin' contest over the display of the American flag.

To make this simple, Palm Beach regulations limit the size of the flag and pole that you can display: 4X6 flag, 42 ft pole. That's the max.

Trump, on the other hand, thought his property, which is massive, needed a bigger flag, higher pole, so he erected this: 15X25 flag, 80 ft pole.

Since Trump didn't obtain a permit (a permit that would have been denied), city officials decided to fine Trump $1250 a day for violating the city's regs. The Donald refuses to take down the flag. Trump turned the tables on Palm Beach and filed a $25 million lawsuit against the town, claiming his "expression of free speech" has been violated. City officials admit that this battle has gotten out of hand and have asked a Federal Court to make the call.

Trump is probably in the wrong on this one (flag regs). However, since it's a fight over the display of the American flag, Trump has my vote. Plus, if Trump wins any money from his $25 million suit, he will donate all of it to the wounded vets from the current war. What's not to like?

I'm sure there will be one or two who will say that Trump is just doing this to get his name in the paper or on TV. I don't believe that nor do I care if he gets a lot of press from this battle. That's his job and he does it well. Since the FLAG is involved here, I side with the Donald.

THE GREAT FLYDINI

Without argument, Steve Martin is one of the funniest comics of all time. Recently, his comedic talents have targeted the "bad guys." He's now poking a little fun at the "Seventy-Two Virgins" that all martyrs expect upon their demise. He lists all 72 virgins with his version of what they'd say to the martyr upon his arrival in paradise.

I think the list is hilarious (18,48,61), however, from now on, Martin should have someone else start his car. These soon-to-be martyrs aren't known for their sense of humor and they take a tremendous disliking of anyone who takes a shot at their religion. Read "Seventy-Two Virgins."

GETTING THE SPEAKER AIRBORNE

It seems there's a squabble in Washington over Nancy Pelosi's request for military aircraft to ferry her to and from her home district. Pelosi has been the Speaker since last November, so this travel item should've been taken care of long ago and without her having to make the request. (technically, Pelosi has been SOTH since early January but everyone knew she would be the choice since November)

The Speaker of the House, second in line for the presidency, should not be flying commercial aircraft from her home district to Washington, or anywhere for that matter. Security being what it is today makes this a moot point.

Several aircraft are being considered for her use--the one below is what VP Cheney uses as Air Force Two. It's a C-32, the civilian counterpart being the 757. It's a large aircraft with room for lots of people, and I imagine Speaker Pelosi has a rather large entourage. Hastert used a much smaller aircraft because he lived closer to Washington--no need for refueling. Hastert shouldn't have been flying commercial, either.

I have joked about this subject before, others have too. However, in the end, we all know Pelosi will, and should be, granted the use of military aircraft. Which type is the only thing we don't know. Personally, I don't care which one she's given, just get her one. She's the Speaker of the House, for Christ's sake.

"I WILL NOT BE IGNORED"

Glenn Close used that line in the movie "Fatal Attraction." She meant every word of it, too. It was just a movie, though.

Apparently, the real-life version of "Fatal Attraction" was re-enacted at the Orlando International Airport, yesterday. The players in this love triangle aren't your usual cast of characters, either. Just your run-of-the-mill NASA astronauts and an Air Force Captain. One being the pilot of the last shuttle flight in December; the other being a mission specialist who flew last summer. Btw, the mission specialist (Glenn Close) is a Navy Captain, and just in case you aren't familiar with ranks, her next rank upon promotion would be Rear Admiral.

There isn't much I can add to the story--you need to read it to believe it. However, I will say one thing that doesn't surprise me: It happened in Florida.

Anyway, this story involves a space shuttle pilot who's involved with two women at the same time; a Navy Captain and an AF Captain from Patrick AFB...a trench coat, a wig, knife, pepper spray, a BB gun, and a diaper. No rabbit, though.

Oh, and "no bail" for the nutjob with the diaper. (Bail was finally set) Ok, now, 9am pst, MSNBC is saying she hasn't been released and additional charges are being added, including Attempted Murder.

PUSHING THE AGENDA FORWARD

Hillary is so BOLD that she thinks you will not see this for what it is: Communism. Will the MSM pepper her with questions about her proposed seizure of private-sector profits? I have my doubts.



Our Nation appears to be unraveling, deteriorating into something we, as Americans, do not recognize as the Nation our Forefathers built. There seems to be little we can do to stem this tide. However, Radio Patriots has some thoughts on the subject. Read it.

JEROME CORSI HAS COMPANY

Merging Canada, Mexico, and the United States into a North American Union has been the focus of Jerome Corsi for quite some time. Now, Judicial Watch is asking questions too. This topic (NAU) is volatile and the more people looking into it, the better. Newsmax article.

Several points of discussion at the September meeting worried Judicial Watch, most notably a note in one set of documents referring to "evolution by stealth." The discussions also touched on integration of energy supply, easing immigration among the three countries and closing the "income gap" between Mexico and the U.S. and Canada.

"I don't know that there's an appreciation or an understanding that this is what the American government is busy spending its time doing," Chris Farrell, Judicial Watch's director of research and investigation, told Cybercast News Service.

"I think it's curious ... when they advocate in their own documents that a position of stealth should be adopted in trying to integrate the three countries," Farrell said. "That's rather extraordinary."

Americans...or North Americans?

"Our purpose is to build a greater sense of being a part of North America," Pastor wrote. "We do not want to displace the pride each of us feels in our countries, but rather to supplement that with a feeling of being North American."

So, after two weeks the debate the Senate GOP has revealed itself as confused about the war, fractured and unlikely to forge anything like the coherent unit the Democrats have been since Jim Jeffords jumped.

But at least this recognition has arrived early. Either it gets an agenda together and sticks with it, agrees among themselves that individual ego-serving free-lancing means the minority for years to come, or it won't be long before the smash-up comes.

And as for the NRSC, it will soon have a choice --if Senators Collins, Hagel or Warner judge themselves the superiors of old Ben.

CORAL SPRINGS GROUP OPENS FOR BUSINESS

Of course, this all began at the center of the universe: Florida. Everything happens in Florida. I think Terror-Free Oil is a good idea--can't hurt-- but I'd really like to see us drilling new wells while developing a new method of running the combustible engine. However, none of this will be happening in my lifetime. After the oil embargo of the 70s, we should've seen the writing on the wall, then acted accordingly. That is, our so-called leaders should have.
